Sulfur Black 1 is a widely used black sulfur dye, classified as an organic macromolecular polymeric dye. It is synthesized from sulfur and aromatic compounds, featuring a complex structure and deep black shade.
It is almost insoluble in water, but can form soluble intermediates under alkaline conditions. It is mainly used for dyeing natural fibers such as cotton and linen, as well as certain synthetic fibers.
Fibers dyed with Sulfur Black 1 show excellent color fastness, good washing and rubbing resistance, and high color saturation, making it one of the most popular black dyes in the textile industry.
In addition to textiles, it can also be applied to leather dyeing, paper dyeing, and some plastic applications. Its low dyeing cost and broad applicability make it an important product among traditional black dyes.
It should be noted that the dyeing process of Sulfur Black 1 requires alkaline solutions and reducing agents. Unfixed dye may cause skin irritation, and proper wastewater treatment is required for environmental protection.
