In response to the harsh working conditions of the project, the technical team ultimately selected a single ultra-long precision ball screw without butt joints, and collaborated with YOSO Ball Screw Manufacturer to complete the customized design and production. The core parameters and optimization schemes are as follows:

1. Customization of core parameters: The nominal diameter of the screw is Φ120mm, the lead is 25mm, the effective stroke is 11 meters, the total length is 12.2 meters, and the precision grade reaches IT5. It is made of high-strength hardened alloy steel, with a surface hardness of ≥HRC60, featuring wear resistance and corrosion resistance. The rated static load is 250t and the dynamic load is 52t, which fully meets the heavy-duty cutting requirements of gantry milling machines.
3. Upgrade of the support system: A structure with fixed ends + multiple intermediate auxiliary supports is adopted. A set of high-precision support bearing seats is installed every 2.5 meters to shorten the effective support distance of the screw, controlling the self-weight sag deflection of the screw within 0.01mm. It is matched with a preloaded nut pair to eliminate axial clearance and improve transmission rigidity.
