Strategic Alliance to Enter South America: YOTAI Signs Strategic Cooperation with Brazilian Leading Enterprise

Recently, YOTAI officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with a leading local enterprise in Brazil to jointly explore the Brazilian and broader South American energy storage market. According to the agreement, this enterprise will become YOTAI's exclusive agent in Brazil. The two parties will deepen cooperation around all-in-one solar-storage machines and commercial & industrial energy storage products, planning to implement dozens of landmark projects across Brazil, focusing on high-value application scenarios such as high-end luxury homes, industrial and commercial parks, and agriculture.

The Brazilian energy storage market is currently experiencing a dual explosion of policy support and market demand. With the first national-level energy storage tender on the horizon, and Law No. 15.269 explicitly reducing the import tax on energy storage equipment to zero and including it in the Special Incentive Regime for Infrastructure Development, a series of favorable policies have laid a solid foundation for the growth of the energy storage industry. Concurrently, frequent power grid outages and high commercial & industrial electricity tariffs in Brazil have created an unprecedented urgent market need for reliable power supply, energy self-sufficiency, and cost optimization. On February 2, YOTAI successfully signed a 135MW/270MWh standalone battery energy storage project with a leading Romanian energy group-Metropolitan Energy SRL in Bucharest. The project is expected to become one of the largest standalone energy storage developments in Romania to date and represents a key breakthrough for Chinese companies in the European independent energy storage market.This cooperation marks YOTAI′s strong entry into the core of Europe′s energy transition and demonstrates the company′s strategic commitment to deepening local market engagement while continuously expanding its long-term investment and presence across Europe.

As a key milestone in YOTAI′s global strategy, the project will be delivered in two phases, providing a fully customized standalone energy storage solution. The scope includes the company′s self-developed Ener Hexon® Aurora 5015 containerized liquid-cooled battery energy storage system, integrated step-up transformer and power conversion station, as well as a 110kV step-up substation.Upon commissioning, the project will enable millisecond-level response to grid frequency regulation requirements, mitigate the intermittency of renewable energy generation, and significantly enhance the grid′s capability to integrate clean energy while improving overall power supply reliability. In addition, it will help relieve grid load pressure and strengthen resilience against power shortages caused by extreme weather events, creating a sustainable and replicable″energy storage+renewables″development model for Southeast Europe.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Chen Shuo, President of YOTAI, emphasized that the cooperation represents a strong partnership with a Romanian energy partner and a key step in the company′s deeper engagement in the European market and its regional energy transition strategy.
