Lately I keep getting the same kind of sales messages…

“You have this problem.”
“If you don’t fix it now, it’ll get worse.”
“Our solution works 100%.”

Honestly? I just ignore them.

Because in real SMT production, things are never that simple.

We recently worked on a case:
A Samsung SM482 machine picking a connector with a 6.6° angled + uneven surface.

Not easy at all.

Here’s what actually worked:

Small SMT parts can cause big headaches.

Recently we helped a customer pick eccentric springs on a GXH machine. The normal vacuum nozzle kept failing because the spring was tiny, hollow, and offset.

Our solution?
A custom gripper nozzle that holds the spring instead of sucking it.

Much more stable pickup.

When sourcing a custom SMT stick feeder, correct samples matter more than many buyers expect.

In one FUJI NXT III project, we customized a stick feeder based on the customer’s tube samples.
Testing and acceptance were successful, and the feeder ran in production for nearly 2 months.

Later, the customer provided a new sample.
The component orientation inside the tube had changed by 90°, even though the tube size remained the same.

This change required a new design, new testing, and additional cost.

Lesson learned:
👉 Please confirm the correct tube sample and component position before placing an order.
Once production is completed, the feeder structure cannot be changed.

Small differences in tube packaging can lead to major impacts on feeding accuracy.
