was founded in 1996 as a high-tech company focused on high precision reference standards for energy metering purpose. With this knowledge the company was growing fast in the fields of energy meter test equipment and energy meters. All our meter- and test equipment production is traceable to international standards. Since 2007 CLOU is listed in the Shenzhen stock exchange with stock no. 002121. The

company has five production sites in China mainland and several joint ventures for energy meter production in various parts of the world. For new developments the company has it’s own research & development center. About 700 highly motivated and excellent skilled engineers are permanently involved in the design of new products. Shenzhen CLOU holds more than 200 patents for innovative solutions in the field of electrical power and energy. Beside the engineering team CLOU is the first companymaintaining a postdoctoral center for electric power systems. Shenzhen CLOU is ISO9001 certified. All processes are clear described. Our quality assurance audits the material suppliers and supervises the complete production process. This ensuresthe permanent high quality of our products. Our meter type test laboratory is ISO17025 certified. CLOU can manufacture products compliant to IEC-, ANSI-, or other international relevant standards. CLOU is holding type test certificates from various international recognized laboratories, likeKEMA (Keuring van Elektrotechnische Materialen te Arnhem) and SABS (South African Bureau of Standards). Due to our modular design technology, our energy meters are able to comply with different additional specifications, like DLMS (Device Language Message Specification) or the STS (Standard Transfer Specification) for prepayment metering. Integration to existing compliant vending- or AMI systems is always possible. Beside of energy metering CLOU is manufacturing related test equipment, starting from portable calibrators for on-site test to full-automated test lines for IEC-compliance tests with hundreds of positions to be tested in parallel. This knowhow makes CLOU Electronics the No. 1 for meter test in China. In our factory in Kunshan we are manufacturing all kind of medium voltage protection devices for indoor and outdoor use up to a level of 42 kV. Electric power automation equipment and related smart units enable CLOU to set up complete Smart substations. Clou Electronics is supporting the Renewable Energy with inverter- and converter solutions for domestic and industrial applications. Together with the knowhow of energy storage we are planning and installing complete Solar- and Wind power plants as EPC projects. This segment is rapidly growing. By now CLOU has delivered around
600 MWp for Solar power generation and energy storage with about 100 MWh capacity. Our products are CSA, TÜV, VDE, CQC and CGC certified. Another part of renewable energy are car charging stations for electric vehicles (EV). CLOU manufactures charging stations for Mode 2 to Mode 4 and has also products to calibrate the accuracy of the charging energy for AC and DC.
