If you are interested in growing chives (Allium tuberosum), I might be able to offer some advice:
[1] Promote seed germination:
Soaking seeds in 25mg/L indoleacetic acid (IAA) for 6 hours can promote seed germination and seedling growth.
[2] Cultivate strong seedlings and promote yield increase:
1. Triacontanol: When leeks first emerge from the soil in spring (called blood buds), use 0.5mg/L triacontanol to water the roots, and use 100L of triacontanol solution per mu; when the leeks grow to 6-7cm in height, spray them on the leaves with 0.5mg/L triacontanol, and use 50L of solution per mu. This can accelerate the growth of leeks, make them fresh, and improve their edible value. According to experiments in Hangzhou, leek treatment with triacontanol can increase leek yield by 20%.
2. Gibberellic acid: Spraying 20mg/L of gibberellic acid solution when the plants are 10cm tall or 3 days after harvest can increase yield by over 15%. Alternatively, spraying 10mg/L of gibberellic acid approximately 15 days before harvest, or when the leeks are approximately 20cm tall, combined with 0.5kg of urea-ammonium solution per mu, can increase yield by approximately 18%.
3. Uniconazole: Soaking seeds in 5mg/L of Uniconazole for 12 hours can promote strong seedlings and increase later yield by 11.5%-14.7%
