ORIGO Guidewire Grinding Machine to Debut at Medtec China 2026

Taking place from September 1‑3, Medtec China 2026 will be held at Shanghai New International Expo Centre. ORIGO will showcase its in‑house developed ultra‑precision grinding machine dedicated to medical interventional guidewires, presenting domestic mass‑production solutions for guidewire mandrel manufacturing.

The PG.XG.R series multi‑taper guidewire grinder delivers a positioning repeatability of ±0.001 mm, optimized for nitinol and stainless‑steel interventional guidewire mandrels. It enables one‑pass forming of multi‑segment tapers, stepped shafts, rounded bulb tips and complex progressive tapers. Integrated in‑line laser measurement and real‑time dimensional compensation support 24‑hour non‑stop production for coronary, neurointerventional and zebra‑type guidewires, offering a reliable domestic alternative to imported equipment.
