From Cryogenic Validation to Batch Delivery

A batch of 532 RAYS cryogenic side-entry floating ball valves is now under delivery for a LNG project, covering DN25–50|Class 300–1500.

At -196°C, sealing reliability depends on stable contact, controlled cryogenic response, and reliable stem/packing performance.

For batch delivery, the focus is not single-valve validation, but consistent performance across every valve.

RAYS cryogenic valves follow a consistent engineering logic:
• Compensate contraction
• Maintain sealing contact
• Provide multi-layer sealing protection
• Isolate the packing area from cryogenic influence
• Verify performance under real low-temperature conditions

From testing to delivery, the focus remains the same:
• Stable sealing after contraction
• Reliable stem and packing sealing
• Controlled cryogenic compensation
• Batch-wide performance consistency

Because in LNG service, reliability is not only tested.
It must remain stable in real operation.

Critical Welding in Progress
DN1400 PN80 Fully Welded Ball Valves

In natural gas pipeline service, external leakage risk often begins at connection points.

That is why pressure boundary integrity is a critical design consideration for fully welded ball valves.

For the Uzbekistan natural gas pipeline project, RAYS fully welded ball valves are designed with welded connections between the body, end connections, and transition sections.

This integrated construction helps reduce potential leakage paths that may exist in bolted fl**ge connections.

For high-pressure pipeline operation, this matters because the valve must withstand:

• Internal pressure
• Pipeline vibration
• Temperature variation
• Long-term buried or remote service conditions

A fully welded structure does more than connect components.
It creates a continuous pressure boundary.

The integrated body structure works together with the internal support design and multi-layer sealing system to support long-term containment in natural gas service.

Because in pipeline valves, reliability begins before sealing.
It begins with the integrity of the pressure boundary.

RAYS Alpha Factory Introduces OKUMA MULTUS U3000

RAYS Alpha Factory has introduced a new OKUMA MULTUS U3000 five-axis multitasking machine, marking another step forward in precision manufacturing capability.

For high-performance industrial valves, machining stability directly affects component accuracy, assembly quality, and long-term reliability.

This new equipment strengthens our capability for complex valve components through:

• Five-axis multitasking capability
• Larger machining range for precision valve components
• One-setup processing to reduce positioning errors
• OKUMA OSP control for safer and more stable machining

For sealing parts, shafts, and structural components, this means more stable machining, better process consistency, and stronger support for project-based valve manufacturing.

At RAYS, equipment upgrades are not only about capacity.
They are about building a more precise, stable, and intelligent manufacturing foundation.

Where Scale Meets Precision

Inside RAYS Alpha, manufacturing is not a single process — it is a coordinated system of engineering, discipline, and scale.

Across the production floor, multiple valve lines are in operation simultaneously, covering a wide range of sizes, pressure classes, and design configurations:

NPS 2–56 | Class 600 Fully Welded Ball Valves
NPS 1–2 | Class 300–1500 Cryogenic Side-entry Ball Valves
NPS 12 | Class 1500 Top-entry Rising Stem Ball Valves
NPS 2–8 | Class 300 Top-entry Rising Stem Ball Valves

From large-diameter pipeline systems to high-pressure and cryogenic applications, each product line follows its own manufacturing logic — yet all are aligned under the same standard of control and consistency.

These valves are built for demanding oil & gas and chemical services, including VCM, EDC, and HCl — where reliability is not optional, and performance must be sustained over time.

At RAYS, scale is not just about capacity.
It is about the ability to deliver complexity — repeatedly, and without compromise.

Precision in Structure. Stability in Sealing.

In offshore oil & gas applications,
large-size trunnion ball valves must deliver more than dimensional accuracy.

They must maintain sealing reliability under pressure, load, and demanding service conditions.

RAYS is progressing with the production of NPS 26-36" | Class 300-600 trunnion ball valves or CNOOC offshore service, with F51 duplex stainless steel bodies designed for harsh operating environments.

The production process is built around defined structural control:

• F51 body machining → dimensional foundation
• Bonnet turning and drilling - sealing interface accuracy
• Trunnion-supported assembly → balanced load distribution
• DBB sealing verification → bidirectional sealing assurance

From machining to assembly and inspection, each step is focused on one engineering objective: to ensure sealing stability through precise structural control.

Performance is not validated by a single final test alone.
It is built through controlled machining, accurate assembly, and consistent verification across every critical process.

When structure is controlled from the beginning, sealing reliability becomes repeatable - not accidental.

Delivered at Scale, Proven in Projects

RAYS top-entry rising stem ball valves have been successfully delivered in batches across two industrial projects, covering:

• 12" Class 1500 — high-pressure gas service
• 2–8" Class 300 — petrochemical service (VCM / EDC / HCl)

In one of these projects, RAYS valves were selected to replace existing Cameron ORBIT-type rising stem ball valves in an operating system.

The replacement was carried out based on:
• Equivalent performance requirements
• Compatibility with existing pipeline conditions
• Improved delivery lead time and cost efficiency

From manufacturing to final delivery, each unit is built, tested, and validated to meet project-specific requirements under actual service conditions.

👉 Because batch delivery is not about quantity —
it is about consistency under real operating constraints.

Performance in application:
• Stable sealing behavior under high-pressure service
• Consistent operation across multiple units in the same system
• Smooth integration within existing pipeline configuration

Batch delivery reflects more than output:
• Engineering consistency across repeated production
• Stability in manufacturing and assembly processes
• Reliability in ex*****on under project timelines

Behind every shipment is a system that ensures each valve performs as intended — in real operating environments.

-196°C is where valve design is tested under real conditions.

A batch of RAYS side-entry floating ball valves (DN25–50, Class 300–1500) is undergoing cryogenic testing in accordance with BS 6364.

At this temperature, sealing is not challenged by pressure —
it is challenged by continuous structural change:

• Material contraction alters contact geometry
• Sealing interfaces shift under thermal stress
• Elastic behavior degrades across cycles

This is where many designs begin to lose consistency.
Maintaining sealing stability here is a structural and material challenge — not a testing issue.

Key validation outcomes:
• Stable sealing performance under full cryogenic exposure
• No leakage during contraction and recovery phases
• Repeatable operation across thermal cycles

At RAYS, cryogenic testing is not about passing a standard.

It is about proving that sealing performance remains stable
—even when the structure itself is no longer stable.
