Process Flow: Preparing Optical Glass for Coating
This video shows the standard pre-coating process for optical glass components in our cleanroom:
1. Cleaning: The glass undergoes thorough cleaning to remove contaminants.
2. Manual Loading: An operator carefully loads the cleaned glass onto a dedicated coating fixture (plate/rack). This manual step allows for precise placement and handling of various glass sizes.
3. Machine Operation: The loaded fixture is placed into the coating machine, which is then activated for the thin-film deposition process.
These foundational steps are critical for achieving uniform, high-performance optical coatings. Consistency in process ensures quality in every piece.
