In the photo, our team is validating the DMC5000-S 3D High-Precision Electronic Compass on a non-magnetic turntable—a dedicated setup designed to minimize magnetic interference and verify performance under controlled multi-axis rotation. BWSENSING has supported DJI in achieving a key technological upgrade for its new 2025 flagship cargo UAV. After rigorous comparative testing, the UAV ultimately adopted BWSENSING's independently developed domestic high-performance Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) — the IMU620. With the large-scale application of the IMU600 series products, it has injected domestic high-precision sensing momentum into the core equipment of the low-altitude economy, marking a crucial step in the independent development of core components for China's low-altitude economy.

This DJI flagship UAV focuses on high-end industrial scenarios in the low-altitude economy, requiring operations in scenarios such as emergency rescue, alpine power operation and maintenance, and plateau material transportation. It must withstand strong winds of 12 m/s and achieve stable flight at an altitude of 6,000 meters. Leveraging a gyroscope bias stability of 5°/h and a gyroscope range of ±500°/s, the BWSENSING IMU620 can rely on inertia to perform autonomous navigation and attitude measurement when satellite signals are lost — this is the core reason for the UAV to choose this module for upgrading.

In addition, the BW-IMU620 features excellent bias stability, strong temperature adaptability, and outstanding repeatability. With a compact size (44.8×38.6×21.5mm) and a quick-install design using three M4 screws, it perfectly meets the UAV's navigation and control needs. Its IP65 protection rating and magnesium-aluminum alloy oxidized shell enable it to adapt to common environments in the low-altitude economy, such as dust, humidity, and alternating high and low temperatures, ensuring the reliability of equipment in high-frequency operations like power grid inspection and agricultural and forestry plant protection. Meanwhile, it forms a synergistic effect with DJI's UAV protection system.

This cooperation highlights the value leap of domestic high-precision sensing technology in the low-altitude economy industrial chain. With the implementation of policies such as the "Interim Regulations on the Management of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Flights", the low-altitude economy is accelerating its development toward scale and industrialization. As a core component of UAV flight control, the localization of inertial sensors directly affects the cost and safety of new business formats such as low-altitude logistics and aerial inspection. BWSENSING's technological breakthrough not only breaks the long-term monopoly of international brands in the high-end inertial measurement field but also builds an independent and controllable technological foundation for China's low-altitude economy through the in-depth integration of "domestic chips + low-altitude scenarios".
