The lightweight aluminum pancake consists of an extruded deck plank and girder beam. This combined with an aluminum sub-structure reduces the total weight to half that of steel. In addition, serrations ensure high friction co-efficiency on the landing deck which can be either painted green or left neutral. No welding is required during site installation as the helideck is entirely bolted together. All plates and extruded profiles are marine grade 6 # # # or 5 # # # serials. The fasteners for aluminum connections are SS316 grade A40-70 or 80.
