N2XRY (SWA) beats N2XBY (STA) on corrosion resistance

Can H07V2-K / H05V2-K replace H07V-K?
H07V2-K and H05V2-K flexible cables can directly substitute standard H07V-K cables certified under EN 50525-2-31, as long as voltage ratings are respected. The "V2" means heat-resistant PVC insulation good for 90°C conductor temperature (vs. 70°C for standard H07V-K), making it a thermal upgrade for high-density control panels and switchgear — just note that H05V2-K (≤1.0 mm², 300/500V) may only replace H07V-K where the system voltage to earth stays at or below 300V.

2491X H05V-K is a Class 5 flexible single-core PVC cable rated 300/500V, compliant with BS EN 50525-2-31 and IEC 60227-3.
It is designed for internal wiring in control panels, switchgear and luminaires within dry enclosed environments, with a max conductor temperature of 70°C.

Replacing BS EN 50525‑3‑11 LSZH 318‑B (H05Z1Z1‑F) flexible cable with standard PVC flexible cable poses serious life-safety, regulatory and mechanical risks.
LSZH cables are designed for public buildings and confined spaces where fire events create acute toxic hazards. Standard PVC cables emit dense, acidic halogen gases on combustion, endangering lives and accelerating structural corrosion. Besides, standard PVC cables have a maximum continuous conductor temperature of 70°C, while H05Z1Z1‑F LSZH cables are rated 90°C. If circuit breakers are set based on the higher current-carrying capacity of LSZH cables, thermal overload risks will arise after substitution.
