Before we became manufacturers of plasma nitriding furnaces, we were commercial heat treaters. Our 'parent' company is TRATAR, with 43 years in the heat treatment and industrial manufacturing market.
Mechanical properties of steels and cast irons, corrosion issues, metallurgical challenges, failure analysis, these were everyday topics at our dinner table. We grew up alongside an engineer with sharp technical and business vision: Roberto Bernal.
He was the driving force behind the creation of ION HEAT, focused on manufacturing high-performance plasma nitriding systems with advanced engineering and process control. He gave us a clear PURPOSE: innovation.
In 2010, we powered up our first plasma nitrider at TRATAR. That unit is still in operation today, processing components that consistently meet demanding mechanical and chemical performance requirements.
Understanding both sides of the equation, heat treatment challenges and thermal processing equipment manufacturing, , has allowed us to build a unique relationship with our customers. We enjoy advising, supporting, sketching solutions, refining concepts, solving problems, and sharing knowledge. Above all, we value building trust.
Today, we celebrate 14 years of ION HEAT, proud to design and manufacture custom-engineered plasma nitriding furnaces tailored to our customers’ needs, using one of the most reliable and results-driven nitriding technologies available worldwide.
