High Humidity, High Moisture 🌿🌧️

In the jungle climate of Costa Rica, it’s completely normal for wood moisture levels to rise—sometimes even inside your home. For example, this 12-year-old wall shows 18% moisture content, which is higher than the typical indoor standard but expected here where humidity is a constant.

8-10% moisture levels are nearly impossible to maintain in this environment. It’s essential to understand and adapt to the conditions when building or renovating in this tropical climate.
