Dr Aleksandar Sedmak, Professor Emeritus and a distinguished authority in the field of structural integrity and fracture mechanics, has made substantial contributions to the advancement of research and professional practice related to the safety and reliability of engineering structures. As President of DIVK and Vice President of ESIS, his work is closely associated with the development of methodologies for assessing the integrity and durability of pressure equipment.
In his lecture entitled Integrity of Pressure Vessels – Case Studies, Dr Sedmak will present carefully selected engineering case studies addressing critical aspects of pressure vessel integrity, including structural assessment, failure analysis, and approaches to ensuring safe and reliable operation in industrial applications.
