It was produced 267 items in the first year. By constantly following advancements in area of distribution transformers production, Minel Trafo came out on international market, and from year to year significantly increased production quantity. With improving of production process, product developing and with using high quality materials Minel Trafo succeeded to establish the production of high per
formance transformers. The main features of high performance transformers are: low losses and low noise levels, both levels are in accordance with European Union recommendations known as ECO DESIGN. The history maximum of production is 6000 pieces of transformers per year, achieved in 1980. Experiencing many development life-cycles and passing through different ownership transformations, Minel Trafo survives on global market competition, with tradition of export in over 55 countries, and with total of 159.000 pieces produced. The main activity of Minel Trafo is design and production of distribution oil-immersed transformers with rated voltage up to 36 kV and with rated power up to 4000kVA. Special types of transformers like: regulation transformers, earthing transformers, three winding transformers for convertors, auto-transformers, dry enameled transformers, all kind of reactors and transformers with Petersen’s coil, are in Minel Trafo’s production portfolio too. Minel Trafo is owner of license for technology of production of special type of transformer with wounded core Shingle Core Trafo®. Production of all electrical parts of transformers is performing in Minel Trafo’s factory. Electrical steel longitudinal and transversal step-lap cutting is performing on Georg cutting line. HV and LV winding manufacturing is carrying out on STOLLBERG winding machines. Drying and vacuuming of transformers are doing in 3 drying facilities with 140 m3 of total volume. Process control system consists of elaborated inter-phase procedures, and of testing of completed product which is performing in Minel Trafo’s own testing laboratory. Minel Trafo is doing business according quality system requirement ISO 9001, for twenty years already. Minel Trafo is certificated for environment management system ISO 14001, and for Occupational Health & Safety Assessment Series OHSAS 18001.
