From policy to research, in Split 🇭🇷

On 28 and 29 September, the UR-WISE team of the Faculty of Economics, University of Niš, prof. dr Jelena J. Stanković, Ivana Marjanović and Marina Stanojević, took part in the ERSA Croatia conference EU Regional Development Dialogues: From Policy to Research at Technology Park Split, on behalf of the Faculty and of ERSA Serbia.

On 28 and 29 September 2026 the Croatian Section of ERSA held its conference “EU Regional Development Dialogues: From Policy to Research” at Technology Park Split. The UR-WISE team of the Faculty of Economics, University of Nis took part on behalf of the Faculty and ERSA Serbia.

The Faculty of Economics, University of Niš, beneficiary of UR-WISE, is a founding member of NALED's new Council for Applied Science, established in Belgrade on 22 September.

The Council brings together more than 20 faculties, institutes and science and technology parks to work on:

- knowledge and technology transfer
- clearer rules for spin-off companies
- industrial doctorates
- researchers' skills in protecting intellectual property

The Faculty is represented by delegates: Dean Prof. Vladislav Marjanovic and UR-WISE coordinator Jelena Stanković

Students take the stage!

The session was moderated by Pavle Marjanović, Head of the Students Science & Research Center at the Faculty of Economics, University of Niš. Our Faculty participated with two panelists: Iva Veličković, President of the Student Association NOVA at the Faculty of Economics, University of Niš and Aleksandar Manasijević, Teaching Associate at the Faculty of Economics, University of Niš and President of the Serbian Association of Young Economists.

The 10th Forum of Advanced Technologies spent two days on what artificial intelligence is doing to industry. Its first day closed with the people who will inherit the answer.

The 10th Forum of Advanced Technologies was held at the Science and Technology Park Niš on 16 and 17 September 2026, in its anniversary edition, under the theme “TechIntelligence: Transforming Industry for the Intelligent Age.” Prof. dr Jelena Stanković of the Faculty of Economics, University of Niš (Економски факултет у Нишу), the host institution of UR-WISE, moderated the panel “Labour Intelligence: Transforming Industry for the Intelligent Age” on the Main Stage.
