The Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia

AI TECHNOLOGIES DESIGNED TO RESPOND TO THE FUTURE. The Institute was established in March 2021 by the Government of Serbia.

We have brought together AI enthusiasts from around the world - scientists, researchers, and industry experts - dedicated to the research of AI and its application in various fields. Our expertise can be applied wherever you may need it: automotive industry, medical diagnostics, financial technologies, increasing business efficiency, and even in the discovery of new drugs and materials. On our R&D

journey, we use a strong multidisciplinary approach and collaboration with scientific institutions and the industry through JOINT PROJECTS. With a vision of becoming a "foundry" of future AI leaders, our institute has a inventor-focused IP policy, as we intend to patent and help our partners and staff commercialise much of what we learn and invent. We have offices in science and technology parks throughout Serbia.

Okupili smo naučnike, istraživače i stručnjake iz industrije iz celog sveta koji su posvećeni istraživanju veštačke inteligencije i njenoj primeni u različitim oblastima. Na primer, u automobilskoj industriji, medicinskoj dijagnostici, finansijama, povećanju efikasnosti poslovanja, pa čak i u otkrivanju novih lekova i materijala. Na svom R&D putu koristimo snažan multidisciplinarni pristup, kao i saradnju sa naučnim institucijama i privredom kroz realizaciju zajedničkih projekata. Sa vizijom da postane „fabrika“ lidera u ovoj oblasti, naš institut ima pristup zaštiti intelektualne svojine koji favorizuje istraživače i industrijske partnere, jer nameravamo da patentiramo i komercijalizujemo većinu onoga što naučimo i izmislimo. Institut je osnovala Vlada Republike Srbije u martu 2021. godine i za sada imamo kancelarije u naučno-tehnološkim parkovima širom Srbije.

📍 IVI na Global 6G Conference u Kini 🇨🇳🚀

🌍 Naš institut učestvovao je na „Global 6G Conference“ u Nankingu, jednom od vodećih svetskih događaja posvećenih razvoju 6G tehnologija i primeni veštačke inteligencije u budućim komunikacionim mrežama.

🤝 Konferencija je okupila istraživače, univerzitete i industrijske partnere iz celog sveta, a u fokusu je bio razvoj inteligentnih, održivih i globalno povezanih mreža sledeće generacije.

🧠 U okviru programa, Institut za veštačku inteligenciju Srbije je zajedno sa partnerima sa Tongji univerziteta organizovao radionicu „AI-empowered Internet of Things (AIoT)“, posvećenu AIoT sistemima, semantičkim komunikacijama i inteligentnim mrežama budućnosti.

🌐 Učešće IVI na ovoj konferenciji predstavlja još jedan važan korak u jačanju međunarodne saradnje i pozicioniranju Instituta u globalnim istraživanjima veštačke inteligencije i savremenih komunikacionih tehnologija. ✨

📍 IVI at the Global 6G Conference in China 🇨🇳🚀

🌍 Our institute participated in the “Global 6G Conference” in Nanjing, one of the world’s leading events dedicated to the development of 6G technologies and the application of artificial intelligence in future communication networks.

🤝 The conference brought together researchers, universities, and industry partners from around the world, with a strong focus on building intelligent, sustainable, and globally connected next-generation networks.

🧠 As part of the program, the Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia, together with partners from Tongji University, organized the workshop “AI-empowered Internet of Things (AIoT)”, dedicated to AIoT systems, semantic communications, and intelligent networks of the future.

📢 Otvoren poziv za radove – IS’26, Novi Sad!

Pozivamo istraživače, inženjere i stručnjake iz industrije da prijave svoje radove za 20. međunarodnu naučnu konferenciju o industrijskim sistemima – IS’26 i doprinesu razmeni znanja u ovoj dinamičnoj oblasti.

Ovogodišnja tema „Industry in the Age of AI“ fokusira se na transformaciju industrijskih sistema kroz primenu veštačke inteligencije, digitalizacije i naprednih tehnologija.

📚 Prihvaćeni i prezentovani radovi biće objavljeni u Springer zborniku indeksiranom u bazama kao što su Scopus, INSPEC i SCImago.

Konferenciju organizuje Fakultet tehničkih nauka Univerziteta u Novom Sadu u saradnji sa našim institutom, a događaj će biti održan u Naučno-tehnološkom parku Novi Sad.

We invite researchers, engineers, and industry professionals to submit their papers for the 20th International Scientific Conference on Industrial Systems – IS’26 and contribute to knowledge exchange in this dynamic field.

This year’s theme, “Industry in the Age of AI” focuses on the transformation of industrial systems through the application of artificial intelligence, digitalization, and advanced technologies.

📚 Accepted and presented papers will be published in a Springer proceedings volume indexed in databases such as Scopus, INSPEC, and SCImago.

The conference is organized by the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, in cooperation with our Institute, and will take place at the Science and Technology Park Novi Sad.

🎉 Još jedan doktor nauka u IVI timu!

👏 Naš istraživač-saradnik i član Grupe za inteligentne proizvodne sisteme Nikola Marković uspešno je odbranio doktorsku disertaciju pod nazivom "Learning based methods for reliable condition monitoring" na Tehničkom univerzitetu u Berlinu.

Njegov rad predstavlja značajan doprinos primeni metoda mašinskog učenja za pouzdano praćenje stanja sistema što je od velikog značaja za savremenu industriju i razvoj inteligentnih proizvodnih procesa.

Ovaj uspeh rezultat je posvećenog rada, istraživačke radoznalosti i istrajnosti.

Čestitamo našem Nikoli na ovom izuzetnom akademskom dostignuću i želimo mu mnogo uspeha, inspiracije i novih rezultata u daljem istraživačkom i profesionalnom radu! 🏆

🎉 Another PhD graduate in the IVI team!

👏 Our research assistant and member of the Intelligent Production Systems Group, Nikola Marković, has successfully defended his doctoral dissertation titled “Learning-based Methods for Reliable Condition Monitoring” at the Technical University of Berlin.
His work makes a significant contribution to the application of machine learning methods for reliable system condition monitoring, which is of great importance for modern industry and the development of intelligent production processes.

This achievement is the result of dedicated work, scientific curiosity, and perseverance.

🤝 Radni dan u Mokrinu: Razmena znanja i zajednički pravci razvoja

🔹Tokom radnog sastanka posvećenog razmeni znanja i razvoju istraživačkih pravaca, zaposleni IVI predstavili su rezultate aktuelnih projekata i razmenili iskustva.

💡 Kroz prezentacije i otvorenu diskusiju, istaknuti su važni pravci rada, kao i potencijali za unapređenje međusobne saradnje istraživačkih grupa.

🚀 Razgovaralo se i o daljim planovima razvoja Instituta, sa fokusom na buduće inicijative i zajedničke ciljeve.

🚀 ICIST 2026 – mesto susreta znanja, tehnologije i novih ideja

🌐 Međunarodna konferencija ICIST i ove godine je na Kopaoniku okupila istraživače, inženjere i stručnjake iz različitih oblasti sa ciljem razmene iskustava i predstavljanja najnovijih tehnoloških trendova.

Među važnim temama našle su se i oblasti “Computer Vision”, “Digital Water” i “Industrial IoT”, a u organizaciji ovih sesija učestvovali su predstavnici istraživačkih grupa za vizuelno računarstvo i percepciju, zelene tehnologije u veštačkoj inteligenciji i inteligentne proizvodne sisteme.

💡 Tokom tri dana konferencije učesnici su diskutovali o savremenim ICT tehnologijama i njihovoj primeni u industriji, zdravstvu, upravljanju resursima, poljoprivredi i digitalnoj transformaciji društva.

🌱 Posebno nas raduje što su naši istraživači, kako iskusni tako i mlađi članovi tima, aktivno učestvovali u diskusijama i doprineli razmeni znanja i novih perspektiva.

🚀 ICIST 2026 – a meeting point for knowledge, technology, and new ideas

🌐 This year, the ICIST international conference once again brought together researchers, engineers, and experts from various fields at Kopaonik, providing a platform for exchanging experiences and presenting the latest technological trends.

Among the key topics were Computer Vision, Digital Water, and Industrial IoT. Representatives of our research groups in Visual Computing and Perception, Green AI, and Intelligent Production Systems also contributed to the organization of these sessions.

💡 Over the three-day conference, participants discussed cutting-edge ICT technologies and their applications in industry, healthcare, resource management, agriculture, and the broader digital transformation of society.

🌱 We are especially proud that our researchers—both senior scientists and early-career team members—actively participated in the discussions and contributed to the exchange of knowledge and new perspectives.
