✨ MSc Dragana Mekić is a Junior Research Assistant at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad, and a PhD student in Chemistry within the Chair of Analytical Chemistry.
✨ Her scientific research focuses on investigating the retention properties of potentially biologically active newly synthesized compounds using reversed-phase thin-layer chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography. 🧪🧬📊

🏅 Throughout her studies, she was a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development.
📚 She is a member of the Serbian Chemical Society.

✨ MSc Dragana Mekić je istraživač–pripravnik na Prirodno-matematičkom fakultetu Univerziteta u Novom Sadu i doktorand na studijskom programu Hemija, u okviru Katedre za analitičku hemiju.
✨ Njena istraživačka delatnost fokusirana je na proučavanje retencionih svojstava potencijalno biološki aktivnih novosintetisanih jedinjenja korišćenjem obrnutofazne tankoslojne hromatografije i tečne hromatografije visokih performansi. 🧪🧬📊

🏅 Tokom studija bila je stipendista Ministarstva prosvete, nauke i tehnološkog razvoja.
📚 Član je Srpskog hemijskog društva.

🚀 Our new scientific milestone - the SafeLi conference!

📄 Conference was organized by the SafeLi team, with the support of the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia through SafeLi PROMIS2023 project, and took place on October 31, 2025, in Novi Sad, Serbia.

🌍📊 The SafeLi Conference welcomed experts, researchers, and professionals from Serbia, to share ideas, connections, extend network and shape the future of our science together. All participants reflected their ongoing research projects funded by Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia and HORIZON, shared insights and discussed emerging challenges together.

🤝 A heartfelt thank you to everyone - speakers, participants on inspiring discussions, and collaborators who helped make this Scientific SafeLi Conference a success. We’re already looking forward to new opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and learning ahead!

💡 New Scientific Milestone!

We’re thrilled to share that our latest paper is now published in the Journal of Molecular Liquids! ✨
📄 “Synthesis and effect of zwitterion additives on thermophysical properties of lithium-ion battery electrolyte.”

🌍 This achievement celebrates our long-standing collaboration between Prof. Marija Bešter-Rogač, Prof. Bojan Šarac (FKKT), and our team from the Faculty of Sciences, Novi Sad.
Together, we’ve built years of successful projects exploring ionic liquids, physicochemical properties, and their real-world applications.

✨ Delighted to share our participation at the 8th International Conference on Ionic Liquid-Based Materials (ILMAT 2025), hosted by the Italian National Research Council in Rome, Italy 🇮🇹

🎤 Our PI, PhD Snežana Papović, presented the results of the SafeLi project in a talk titled:
📄 “The new ionic additives for safer and durable electrolytes in lithium-ion batteries.”

🌍 The conference provided an amazing opportunity to share our findings with the international scientific community, exchange ideas, and gain valuable feedback that will guide the next steps of our research.
