Auction!

Support us by buying a rare sword or sharing.

Meet “Ser Dunkan” - the last artifact of our Serbian era. And Anna Solovey of HEMA Praha.

It is currently impossible to predict when we will again have furnaces large enough to harden a sword of this length.

Standing 160 cm overall with a 116 cm blade, it weighs just 3 kg and features delicate twisted decorations on the pommel and quillons, crafted by our head smith himself. The blade is fairly flexible for a two-handed sword and would become an excellent tool for anyone determined enough to master it.

Auction rules:

Starting price: 300 EUR

Minimum bid increment: 50 EUR

Bids: comments under the original post only

End time: 23:00 CET, 25.02.2026

The sword is currently located in Prague, Czech Republic.
Shipping is paid separately.

Thank you

Kvetun status update.

It has been over three months since the tragic passing of Pavel. Time flies, and we have been quiet on social media while active work has been unfolding in multiple directions.

We processed all outstanding orders and created priority lists for refunds and for our supporters who are willing to wait for their swords to be produced. If for some reason you didn't get in touch, please contact us via FB or [email protected]

We reviewed multiple locations and determined that Armenia, hence the meme, is a workable solution for continuing our production. A small test workshop has already been established.

Test shipments to the UK, USA, and EU have been completed. We are evacuating all remaining machinery and supplies to begin sending swords that can be produced from those materials.

Refunds remain our main priority. However, with our Serbian bank account still frozen, we are currently operating at a significant loss and going further into debt. We are doing our best to restart production so we can generate income again and direct those funds toward refunds.

There is also some good news. Finally, we gained access to the apartment and storage and recovered some finished products that we will sell from Prague as soon as possible to fund refunds. This also gives us hope of regaining access to our frozen funds.

Another hopeful development is that our call for investors has not gone unnoticed. We have received a few solid offers that are now in the early stages of discussion.

One way or another, we will get back to action.

It is not our first time.

Yours,

Kvetun Team.

We are asking our beloved HEMA community for help.

Dear friends,

Thank you for the incredible amount of support, messages, and offers to help. Your response has been the one bright point in a very dark moment for us. M

any have asked how to help. Here are the most effective ways:

- Direct support You can donate via PayPal: [email protected]
It's personal account of Matvey Sakharov. If you prefer a bank transfer, please message us for details.

- Investment connections If you know people or companies interested in investing into physical production in a stable location, an introduction would help us greatly.

Reposting helps more than you think.

We are committed to rebuilding. We will get through this - and every bit of support accelerates that process.

Thank you for standing with us.
Kvetun.

Kvetun – status report and future.

The immediate result of the death of our COO(previous post): all his assets are frozen or lost due to the police investigation and potentially later inheritance processes.

We lost a friend.
We lost operating capital.
We lost production permissions.
We lost materials.
We lost contracts.
We lost time.
We lost stability.

All major processes must be redone or renegotiated. Years of work are effectively lost.
Under these conditions, we cannot continue standard production. Only custom or special orders are currently feasible.

What this means for clients:

1. We will fulfil all obligations, but timelines cannot be predicted at this moment.

2. You will receive communication only from our official address: [email protected].
Be aware of scammers already pretending to raise money for Pavel’s family.

3. We will create two lists:
– refunds for those unable to wait,
– orders we will complete regardless of time required.

How you can help:

Please be patient. The situation is difficult both operationally and emotionally.

Commission custom work. It does not rely on large material flows and can be produced with careful manual labour.

We have never asked for help, no matter what currents of times throws at us.

Now we have lost everything and carry significant debt. We will continue working as long as we can, but we ask for support.

If you want to help, you can donate to us via PayPal: [email protected]

If you know investors interested in physical HEMA-equipment manufacturing (blades, plastic protection, masks/light helmets, jackets), please connect us. We have the technology and engineering for all of it.

Believe in Kvetun. We will endure and rebuild.

This is the hardest text I ever written and the worst meaning I must communicate.

10.11.2025 our dear Baron Pavel Shilin, chief of operations of Kvetun in Serbia was found dead in his apartment.

Young and aspiring neuroscientist forced to immigrate from the mobilization, who turned into inspiring heart and diligent troubleshooter of our company. Excellent fencer, writer and friend.

Amazing and kind human being. He just received his residence permit and was looking forward to meet his friends scattered in EU, to get a cat, to live, to craft, to develop. This loss is incomprehensible and we are missing him dearly.

However, unfortunately, this loss, this strike is not only to our souls, but also to Kvetun. Operating as a small enterprise with Pavel as an individual entrepreneur + contractual workers, with him we loss (best case scenario it's frozen for unknown time) access to our budget, contracts, permissions and licenses.

Which makes our work impossible to continue right away.

What does that mean for you, as our clients will be determined shortly. We are firm on fulfilling all our current obligations, but the acceptance of new orders is stopped for the time being.

Old timers who've followed us from the beginning know a thing or two about our head smith’s... unique character. Yes, that guy who locked himself inside the workshop during the COVID lockdown. The one who never bothered to smile.

So, when Serbian bureaucracy nearly forced us into shutdown, he figured it was time for a non-commercial, pain-soaked passion project—code name: Maximum Pain.

Inspired by the glorious work of our spiritual father, Peter Johnsson Swordsmith, he took a square, flat piece of metal and began incubating what we now call the Dragon Egg Pommel. After countless failed attempts and more than a few pairs of gloves worn to shreds, the Night Sister was born.

Important note: The design is the intellectual property of Peter Johnsson, HBO, and whoever else holds the rights to Game of Thrones. This is not a sword for sale. It's a tribute. A personal passion project. Trail of fire and steel.

And now, the Night Sister hangs on the wall of our head smith’s living room—a constant reminder that beauty comes at a price.

Dear fencers,

We’d like to remind you about an exciting project from members of our team —

This impressive international longsword tournament, held in the heart of Prague, has already attracted over 160 fencers from 28+ countries. With at least 10 fights, double-pool systems, and a legendary afterparty in a swimming pool, it seems like a pretty great return for every euro invested.

There are still spots available — so don’t miss your chance to join the action!
