The KPMG Cyprus IT consulting team came in with market intelligence and business insight. Artemis Intelligence team came in with the agentic architecture demo. Michael Glaros and Nauria Gul leading — Nauria and Carl remote. The conversations flowed across both sides of the table.

Big Day, Naga City!💥
The Digital Readiness Audit kick-off with the Naga City Government was everything we hoped for, and more. Huge thanks to the officers and employees of the four offices leading the way:

What made the kick-off special was how openly the officers and frontline staff shared the real, day-to-day realities of their work. Honest insights from the people closest to the systems are how meaningful digital transformation actually begins.

We are proud to share that CySKILLS-AI has officially launched. This project is the result of a meaningful collaboration between Artemis Intelligence and the CYENS Centre of Excellence.

We are deeply grateful to the Research and Innovation Foundation and the Republic of Cyprus for awarding this project under the "AI in Government" programme, and to the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth and the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy for their trust and engagement from day one.

Over 40% of graduates in Cyprus can't find work that matches their qualifications.

I've seen this same story play out in Asia, the Pacific, the Middle East, Europe. Different countries, different languages, same wall.

And it was never the students. It was never the teachers.

It was always the .
Old. Fragmented. Showing up months (or years) too late for anyone to do anything useful with it. The signals that should be shaping what students learn today are built on what the market looked like years ago.

With the Cyprus Foundation , Artemis Intelligence and CYENS Centre of Excellence delivering a Labour Market Intelligence System for the . Live data. AI agents that forecast skills demand 5 years out, track gaps in real time, and generate policy briefs without the months of manual work that currently sits between insight and action.

But honestly, the technology is almost secondary to me.

What I keep coming back to is what changes when curriculum is informed by where the market is going, not where it's been?

That's the version of a worth building. Resilient. Inclusive. Built for the people inside it.

This one is personal❤️‍🔥

I'm probably the most non-tech person to co-found an AI company. But 15 years of sitting across from ministers, HR directors, and students trying to make sense of their future taught me one thing clearly: the wall was never talent. It was always data.

Curriculum lagging behind industry by years. Skilled graduates unable to find work that matched what they built. Skills gaps visible only after they became crises. I've seen it in Asia, the Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe.

That frustration is what brought me here. And it's what makes this moment matter.

We are delivering an AI-powered Labour Market Intelligence System for the Cyprus Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth and the Research and Innovation Foundation.

Competency gaps identified before they become crises.
Curriculum informed by live market signals. Education and employment finally speaking the same language. Real-time human capital intelligence in the hands of policy makers.

And this project is taking me somewhere new.

I am increasingly drawn to the intersection of smart technologies, resilient systems, and human capital, and what it truly means to build Smart Societies - a genuinely resilient, inclusive, and future-ready.

This is my next pursuit. And Cyprus is where it begins.

Attended the European Innovation Council information and networking event the other day.

Clear speakers, solid presentations, no fluff.

My takeaways:
1. EIC programs are competitive
2. They are competitive
3. They are very competitive
By the third time, I started wondering if they we're trying to gently warn us... or politely scare us.

Then Mrs Leda from the took the stage. The room shifted. Softened. She reassured the startups and researchers that the RIF is there to guide, support, and assisst us navigate this famously competitive process. Much appreciated.

It was also inspiring to listen to 's founder👏. A reminder that vision and resilience still win. I'm sure it gave everyone in the room a bit of hope.

It was also great to finally meet new people and put faces to the names behind the RIF, they have been nothing but helpful to our fledgling team so far.

A good event, a lot of clarity, and a healthy does of reality✨
