🧬 When curiosity meets science, great ideas follow!

In celebration of , we are happy to share the results of the Pancyprian DNA Essay Competition 2026, an educational initiative by Medicover Genetics, supported by the Biology Inspectorate of the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth of Cyprus. This year’s competition highlights student curiosity, creativity, and engagement with genetics and the important role of NIPT in the modern prenatal healthcare.

Με αφορμή την Παγκόσμια Ημέρα DNA στις 25 Απριλίου, η Medicover Genetics Κύπρου διοργανώνει τον 4ο Παγκύπριο Διαγωνισμό Έκθεσης, που απευθύνεται σε μαθητές/μαθήτριες δημόσιων και ιδιωτικών σχολείων ηλικίας 16–19 ετών.
Φέτος, οι συμμετέχοντες καλούνται να εξερευνήσουν πώς η γενετική διαμορφώνει τη σύγχρονη υγειονομική περίθαλψη, με ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στον Μη Επεμβατικό Προγεννητικό Έλεγχο (NIPT) και τον ρόλο του στην προγεννητική φροντίδα.

🚀👩‍🔬 Inspiring curiosity through science!

Last month, to celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, our colleagues Simoni Nicolaou and Eva Charalambous from the Production and Clinical Services teams in Cyprus visited Engomi B' Kindergarten in Nicosia to share the fun side of science with curious young minds.

Through exciting experiments, the children learned how easily bacteria can spread and why washing hands with soap and water is so important. The room was filled with curiosity, laughter and plenty of “wow” moments as science came to life.

Moments like these help spark curiosity and inspire the scientists of tomorrow! 🔬✨
