🛑 ASTEROID ATMOSPHERIC ENTRY ALERT 🛑

IF CONFIRMED, a freshly discovered small (~1,1 m diameter) asteroid (ST26E86) is in a trajectory that will direct it into the Earth atmosphere, in a region extending from North-Western Australia to Micronesia, and passing over the North of Papua New-Guinea (May 15) around 13h 42min UT. No real impact, but a very bright and slow fireball should be observable by people in the area, and meteorites may reach the ground.

UPDATE: After 6 observations, the atmospheric entry was confirmed and predicted to occur at 13h 36min UT at position: lat. = 8.62476° S ; long = 137.34220 E
