Natália Gogolová spoke at Věda všude kolem nás: Co vše vymyslely ženy, an evening celebrating women in science.

She brought her usual energy to explaining CubeSats: what they are, how they work, and what they are doing in orbit right now. New faces in the room, some familiar ones too. The conversations that followed made it a great night.

We took part in the Space Technologies - Emerging Ecosystem meeting in Valašské Meziříčí. 🚀

It was great to connect with partners from the Zlín, South Moravian and Moravian-Silesian regions and exchange ideas on how to grow the space ecosystem together.

Spacemanic was represented by Petr Moravec and we’re already looking forward to turning these conversations into real projects. 🙌

Our talk & paper has been selected for SmallSat Europe. 🚀

Ota Michálek will be presenting our work on ISR CubeSat constellations. Join him on Tuesday, May 26 3:30 PM at the Technical Stage! Focusing on how to design systems that actually make sense in the real missions, not just on paper. Combining optical payloads, SDR, and figuring out how many satellites you really need to get useful data, not just nice slides.

We’ve been digging into things like revisit times, coverage, and what it takes to go from a single satellite to something that works as a constellation. It’s a topic we’ve been living for a while now, so it’s great to share it with the community.

Tomorrow, Ota Michálek will be speaking at the FEI Journal Club. 🚀

The talk will cover NewSpace, CubeSats and how the satellites come from paper to orbit.

He’ll also touch on the role of a systems engineer, space debris, satellite constellations, and how you can get involved in the space industry already during your studies.

If you’re curious about space engineering, this is a good place to start.

Halfway through the race, we were stopped and told to slow down, be more gentle, and maybe even use the brakes once in a while. Duh. 😅

Another milestone of EARS GNSS-RO completed! 🚀

The EARS GNSS-RO project, developed under the ESA InCubed Programme, has completed another important milestone - Medium Key Point (MKP). This marks an important point in the project de-risking cycle, bringing it closer to deployement in orbit. In this phase, the focus is on setting solid foundations from defining the mission architecture and aligning technical requirements, to shaping how GNSS Radio Occultation (RO) data will be collected and used.

EARS aims to bring high-quality atmospheric data through GNSS Radio Occultation, contributing to more accurate weather forecasting and climate monitoring. The project is being delivered in collaboration with Stellar Exploration as the prime contractor and RO payload owner and Groundcom. Spacemanic is taking care of the platform definition and mission planning.

Derisking is just the beginning, but it’s a critical step in turning the mission into reality.
