VOLTER company has completed the installation of a VOLTER L1616 CNC router at Luleå University of Technology in Sweden. As one of Scandinavia's leading technical universities, the institution provides high-level academic programs across engineering, advanced technology, and applied research. Having used my VOLTER L1616 CNC router for a year, I can say that it fully meets my expectations. I use it to produce dining and coffee tables from solid wood with complex 3D elements, and it handles these tasks very well. When ordering the machine, I requested a custom modification to the steel frame to enable me to process large, volumetric parts and machine workpieces vertically from the side. The VOLTER team implemented these changes exactly as requested. I also chose a gantry clearance of 240 mm, enabling me to machine tall parts and use long cutting tools.
Another major advantage is the workflow with Autodesk Fusion. I create the 3D model, generate the CAM programme and send the G-code file directly to the machine via the local network. This makes the process from design to machining extremely efficient. The interface is intuitive and easy to understand, and the rigid, massive frame ensures excellent stability — essential for complex 3D machining programs with many passes. I also appreciate how responsive the VOLTER service team is — they provided excellent support during the learning phase and helped me quickly whenever I needed it. Overall, both the machine and the VOLTER team have left me with a very positive impression, and I can confidently recommend them.

High-speed rotation spindles are a new option for VOLTER CNC routers.
VOLTER continues to expand its machine configuration options, now offering high-speed spindles from German manufacturer Spinogy as an optional upgrade. These air-cooled spindles can run at speeds of up to 45,000 RPM, enabling greater productivity when machining selected plastics and aluminium. With a rated power of 2.2 kW, the spindles are designed for applications where high speed and precision of the spindle are critical.

The spindles feature pneumatic tool clamping and are fully compatible with automatic tool changers, ensuring seamless integration into VOLTER CNC systems. The solution uses HSK-E25 holders for tool holding, supporting stable and accurate high-speed machining. This option is particularly beneficial for customers working with small-diameter tools and fine surface requirements. As always, VOLTER focuses on providing flexible configurations that help customers optimise performance for specific production tasks.

VOLTER Installs L2616 CNC Router at the European Space Agency
VOLTER is pleased to announce the successful installation of a VOLTER L2616 CNC Router at the laboratory facilities supported by the European Space Agency (ESA) in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. The machine has been delivered to the CometLab, a protoyping lab, collaboration space and learning facility for advancing innovation in development of products and services for (aero)space sector. The VOLTER L2616 will be used for the production of components and prototypes required for space systems. In addition, the machine will support educational activities, including hands-on training for students and young engineers.
