How technology grows alongside customer success: Our 25-year journey with Lunter 🏭🌱
A featured article was recently published in Úroda magazine covering our long-term collaboration with Slovak tofu producer Lunter (New Originals s.r.o.) at their plant in Kremnička near Banská Bystrica.
This project highlights an important principle in industrial food processing: effective technology is not a one-time purchase, but a system that expands step-by-step as production grows and requirements change.
Key milestones of the partnership:
• 2000: It started with a compact cleaning and de-stoning unit for raw soybeans before tofu processing.
• 2016: Major expansion featuring a 1,000-tonne storage silo, an upgraded intake system, and a 5 t/h cleaning line centered around our JCM 10133 cleaner and KVOR 800 de-stoner.
• 2020: Integration of dedicated storage and conveying paths to separate conventional and organic (bio) soybean processing.
• 2025 Modernization: A high-capacity upgrade designed to fit within severe spatial constraints—surrounded by existing buildings, roads, and a high-pressure gas pipeline.
Engineering highlights of the latest 2025 upgrade:
📐 Square Silos: Round silos would leave wasted space. Custom square silos allowed us to utilize the exact footprint, creating 360 m³ of separate storage capacity across 4 independent bins for organic soybeans.
🚛 Mobile Rotatable Intake Hoppers: To allow simultaneous unloading of two trucks (conventional and bio) in a restricted yard where underground pits were impossible, we deployed rotatable above-ground hoppers on wheels.
⚙️ Higher Capacity & Protection: Intake capacity was raised to 25 t/h, while cleaning runs at 12–15 t/h. We installed our largest de-stoner, the JGD 12, to remove stones and protect sensitive downstream grinding equipment.
🎛️ Automated Aspiration & Filtration: Upgraded dust filtration meets strict environmental standards for built-up areas. Servo-driven dampers now allow operators to adjust aspiration settings directly from the control panel.
We are proud to support Lunter's growth from a local producer into a regional market leader.
