The Group of Advanced Materials and Organic Chemistry (GAMOS) is concerned with the study of photochemical synthesis of polycyclic aromates, particularly helicenes and picenes. Its activities have also been focused on the applied research in the fields of material chemistry, separation techniques and molecular electronics. Its young team tightly cooperates with other departments of the Institute o
f Chemical Process Fundamentals, namely in the fields of photochemistry and layer preparation, and industrial partners (Lach-ner s.r.o., Watrex Prague). Outside of domestic collaboration with institues of the Czech Academy of Sciences and Czech universities (ICT Prague, CU Prague, UP Olomouc), a part of research is carried out with foreign partners (Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg)
Skupina GAMOS (z angl. Group of Advanced Materials and Organic Synthesis) se zabývá studiem fotochemických syntéz polycyklických aromátů, především helicenů a picenů. Postupem času se její činnost soustředila také na aplikovaný výzkum v oblastech materiálové chemie, separačních technik a molekulární elektroniky. Mladý tým úzce spolupracuje s dalšími odděleními v ústavu, a to především v oblasti fotochemie a přípravy vrstev, ale také s průmyslovými partnery. Mimo tuzemskou kooperaci v rámci ústavů AV ČR a vysokých škol je část výzkumu prováděna ve spolupráci se zahraničními partnery
