CompoTech has commissioned a bespoke CNC machining centre, the COMAGRAV NOTUS 3000X. 5½-axis capability. Two years in the making, built to our exact specifications with our Czech machine tool partner, COMAGRAV.

The main advantage beside the 1,920 × 3,150 mm aluminium table with 9 programmable vacuum zones, a full rotary b-axis for tubular structures up to 2.5 metres. With Renishaw probing for on-machine measurement. Single setup, start to finish.

For our customers in aerospace, marine, and industrial sectors it means tighter tolerances, faster turnaround, and more complex work done entirely in-house.

Next week we are heading to JEC Composites World 2026 in Paris! 10–12 March.

2 x showcase examples used for CompositesWorld Industrial sector 2026 round-up come from CompoTech.

- PalletX composite pallet. A ground-up design and process development using our proprietary Advanced winding technology. The complete production platform and process knowledge now transferred to the customer.

- Kongsberg PrecisionCutting Systems composite traverse beam for wide-format digital print finishing. A complex wound structure with internal reinforcement produced in one process. Produced with multimaterial integral components for joining and precision-machined surfaces.

Composites solve a variety of industrial applications. Recent notable examples include fire truck pumps, biogas reactor tanks and shipping pallets.

Looking at two composite MTB suspension forks at the opposite ends of our timeline:

The design and materials have come a long way, but importantly, today we focus more on stiffness than on lightweight alone.
Both forks make use of our True-Zero degree axial placement. Something we have been proud to offer since the start.

The team showcased the latest composite bikes developed by CompoTech at the .cc handmade bike show this weekend. It was great to share the newest prototypes and discuss the future direction of the brand.
Also fantastic talking to all the brilliant builders there, sharing the possibilities CompoTech technology can bring to all kinds of hand-built carbon frames of all disciplines, and at the same time, checking out some amazing bikes!
