This three-story building, with a usable area of 3,000 m², consists of 161 M-L series modules and was constructed while the hospital remained fully operational, without any disruption to patient care. Thanks to the modular construction, we were able to increase the capacity of the region’s only inpatient psychiatric ward from 73 to 96 beds.

Even before mass production began, we assembled a sample room right here at our manufacturing plant, which the client inspected in detail and approved. The environment is designed to meet the strict safety, professional, and personal needs of both patients and staff.

The interiors were designed in the Scandinavian style to give you an immediate sense of home and maximum comfort. 🛋️

At the heart of the entire building is a spacious common area featuring a kitchen, dining area, and a striking designer staircase. Next to it, you can explore a hotel room, a student room, or an apartment, each unit comes with its own fully equipped bathroom. 🚿

Thanks to the extensive use of glass, the entire interior is flooded with natural light. The wooden elements, combined with perfect insulation, guarantee that you’ll simply feel great inside. 👌

Pineapple Mission Successfully Completed! 🍍

We’re sending you greetings in pictures straight from Gabon in West Africa, where our modular juice plant is now fully operational. A while back, we invited you to follow our “pineapple mission” to West Africa, and today we have the long-awaited update for you: photos straight from the field. 🇨🇿🤝🇬🇦

Our special modular juice processing plant has safely arrived in Gabon, where it is now fully equipped, assembled, completed with Pharmix technologies and ready to process top-quality local pineapples. 🍍⚙️

From the initial French manuals, through the Gabonese delegation’s visit to us in Vizovice, all the way to tightening the very last screw right there in Africa, following this journey has been an amazing ride. 🌍

More than 280 modules joined together to form a single functional unit. This modular hotel complex demonstrates in practice the full potential and efficiency of modern construction. 💪

The largest modular hotel complex in the Czech Republic is located in Letňany, Prague. The entire project perfectly demonstrates how speed, technical precision, and modern design can be combined without any compromises.

What makes this project so unique?
🏗️ Record-breaking assembly speed: the four-story hotel building was fully assembled on site in just 4 weeks, one entire floor per week.

📐 Enormous scale: the entire complex consists of 280 modules manufactured here in Vizovice. Specifically, it consists of a combination of 160 hotel modules and 120 office modules.

👌 The unique structural design of the open, spacious interior for a restaurant, created on the ground floor using 9-meter-long modules without internal bracing.

The rooms arrived at the construction site from the factory virtually complete, which minimized on-site construction activity and allowed for immediate connection of utilities. This project is excellent proof, that with an enlightened investor, modularity can push the boundaries of the construction industry.

When a municipality needs to quickly solve capacity shortages for toddlers and is pressed by a grant deadline, modularity is second to none. 🏗️

We delivered a modern children's group building to the municipality of Nivnice. Given the grant project and a strict deadline, construction speed was absolutely crucial. And the result? Just 5 weeks passed from the installation of the first module to the completion of the entire building. ⏱️

While foundations were laid on-site, we concurrently manufactured 10 ML series modules with a total usable area of 185 m² at our production plant in Vizovice. On-site, the building was completed with a secondary insulated roof and a plaster facade.

Nivnice gained an energy-efficient and eco-friendly facility built to high standards, equipped with a heat pump, photovoltaic panels, underfloor heating, aluminium windows of our own production, and an HVAC ventilation system.

Inside, the children and staff will find a generous playroom with a bedroom, changing rooms, washrooms, staff facilities, and a meal-serving area. This modern building can serve as great inspiration for other municipalities struggling with insufficient capacity in educational facilities. 🌿

Modular extensions are the future of school modernization. A project in the town of Špačince demonstrates how to elegantly address the capacity shortages in older school buildings in record time. The solution is modularity. 👇

The largest construction boom for school buildings in our country took place between the 1960s and 1980s. Today, after 65 years of operation, these typical buildings in prefabricated housing estates are reaching their limits—both technical and in terms of capacity. For local governments, this means one thing: we are facing a massive wave of necessary modernizations.

While traditional construction methods are proven, they are often unacceptably time-consuming for schools. This is precisely where modularity proves to be an exceptionally effective tool. At KOMA, we have long established ourselves as specialists in modular extensions—a technically demanding field that requires unique expertise.

A prime example? The Špačince Elementary School in Slovakia. The school’s pavilions, built in the 1970s, no longer met modern capacity requirements.

Our solution?
🤝 Speed that doesn’t disrupt classes. Students were able to move into the new classrooms within just 3 months of the first module being installed. Key structural reinforcement work was carried out smoothly during the summer break.
🤝 New space without taking up additional land. The school gained 682 m² of new usable space thanks to the addition of a third floor. A total of 64 ML-series modules created 12 new classrooms, faculty offices, and restroom facilities.
🤝 Seamless integration. The addition has become a natural part of the existing building; we connected the stairwells and integrated the heating systems, and the entire building now meets strict energy standards in energy class A0.

This unique healthcare extension, consisting of 161 modules with a total area of 3,000 m², increased the hospital’s capacity to 96 beds. It provides state-of-the-art facilities with special safety features for modern patient care.

🏫 Jinotaj Elementary School in Zlín - Honorable Mention from the Zlín Region
A prime example of the highest standard in modern schools. This passive building, consisting of 38 modules, combines thoughtful design, the strictest European environmental standards, and maximum user comfort for both children and teachers.

Greetings from Iceland! 🇨🇿🤝🇮🇸
Our assembly team sent us fresh photos straight from the field—the new modular camp in the land of fire and ice is completely ready.

🦊 In the middle of nowhere, where foxes say good night and the nearest major city is a 1.5-hour drive away. It’s exactly from this kind of place that our team sent us these fresh photos.

As we mentioned back in November, this camp will serve as a state-of-the-art base for management during the implementation of the ambitious Hvammur hydroelectric power plant project. We have built a total of 32 comfortable apartments here, which will provide engineers and construction management with a safe and warm refuge from the harsh Nordic climate.

This project is further proof that there are no geographical or climatic limits to our modularity. It can deliver maximum comfort and build quality even to the most remote corners of the planet. 🌍

The future of construction is here. We’ve built a prototype of a two-story apartment building using 8 modules from the Modular Line series—a true game-changer. 🃏

It’s located directly across from our production facility in Vizovice. It serves as a showroom showcasing various usage options. Inside, you’ll find a large common area with a kitchen and a designer staircase, as well as a hotel room, a student room, and a spacious apartment. 🏢

Thanks to perfect insulation, zero impact noise, and top-quality materials inside, you’ll hardly notice you’re standing inside a module.

This new Scandinavian-style building clearly demonstrates the possibilities of modern modular construction and represents the direction we believe is the future of the construction industry.

What does the combination of Czech engineering and Gabonese pineapples taste like? 🇨🇿🤝🇬🇦

This special setup is a fully equipped modular juice processing plant headed for the West African nation of Gabon, where it will be used to process top-quality local pineapples. 🍍

The whole idea originated as a tribute to the professional beginnings of KOMA’s founder, Mr. Stanislav Martinec, who once started out working in a juice processing plant himself.

For the implementation, we joined forces with Pharmix, which supplied state-of-the-art stainless steel crushers and presses; the project originated from an initiative and with significant support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic more than a year ago.

The unique, minimalist graphic design on the modules combines the national colors of the Czech Republic and Gabon as a symbol of a strong partnership.

From French manuals to the recent rare visit by a delegation from Gabon right here in Vizovice, we’ve enjoyed this project from the very first screw. 🌍⚙️
