👉 Engineering Technology Association at ŽĎAS, a.s. 👨‍💼
This week, leading figures from the Czech engineering industry, members of the board of directors and administrative board of the Engineering Technology Association, visited our premises. After an introductory welcome and a speech by Pavel L. Cesnek, we set off together on a tour of the Metallurgy and Engineering divisions. After lunch, the program continued with a meeting of the board of directors and the 78th meeting of the Svaz strojírenské technologie administrative board.
According to the guests' reactions, the day was full of information, inspiration, and interesting ideas — and we are very pleased about that! 😊

👉 The second part of pinion production: roughing, machining, and shipping ⚙️✈️
We recently showed you how a pinion for a ship lifting system is forged. Today, we continue with the second part—take a look at what happens after hardening. How does roughing, machining, and preparation for shipping work?
· Roughing – the first stage of machining, in which we produce a machined semi-finished product from a rough forging, on which non-destructive material quality tests can then be performed.
· Machining – machining is performed on a Škoda SRM 1600 lathe and then on a Škoda SRM 100 CNC lathe.
· Checks to ensure that each dimension meets the demanding technical requirements.
· Preparation of the pinion for shipment to the customer. Each pinion goes through a long journey, and we are happy to have been able to give you an insight into it 🌍 🙋‍♂️

👉 Hněvkovice Hydroelectric Power Plant 🌊
We are pleased to announce that ŽĎAS, a.s., in consortium with ChKD Energy, s.r.o, has been selected as the supplier for the modernization of the mechanical part, TG2 unit of the Hněvkovice hydroelectric power plant.
This is another significant contract in the field of hydropower, which we will implement for the domestic company ČEZ, a.s. 🦾
The project involves the modernization of a vertical Kaplan turbine with a diameter of OK 2400 mm and a capacity of 4.5 MW, including related accessories.
The modernization of the unit includes the replacement of the entire turbine section while retaining the concrete parts, as well as a general overhaul of the generator and electrical components.
The work also includes the performance of final warranty measurements, which we believe will confirm the successful implementation with the guaranteed values being met.

👉 Modernizace lisu CKW 1600 na 2000 pro VÍTKOVICE HAMMERING a.s., úspěšně dokončena!
Lis CKW 1600, který ŽĎAS, a.s. vyrobil v roce 1989, jsme po přestěhování ze staré vítkovické kovárny kompletně modernizovali a instalovali v nové hale.
Dodali jsme nový hydraulický pohon, manipulátor QKK 12, zvedací stůl QHZ 12 i kompletní elektro.
V létě proběhla montáž, v říjnu zkušební provoz a nyní už linka běží v trvalém provozu.
Děkujeme všem, kdo se na projektu podíleli! 🦾

👉 Defense and security – a key component of modern industry ⚔️

The Defense & Security Bangkok exhibition has long been one of the most important professional events in Asia focused on defense and security.
The event is intended exclusively for professionals in the field – every visitor was directly or indirectly connected to the area of defense & security.
ŽĎAS a.s. participated in this exhibition for the first time in the first half of November 2025 as part of a joint Czech exhibition organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.
Although initial contacts do not in themselves guarantee future orders, they represent an important first step towards their possible acquisition.

👉 We are proud to announce that our company has won the public tender for the "Modernization and General Repair of TG2" at the Hričov hydroelectric power plant 🌊
This is a significant contract in the field of hydropower, which we will implement for Slovenské elektrárne.
We are pleased to once again present ourselves as a stable and reliable supplier and we believe that we will fulfill this commitment to the satisfaction of both ourselves and our client 🦾
The scope of work includes a comprehensive overhaul and modernization of a Kaplan turbine with an impressive diameter of 5000 mm and an output of 12 MW, including the conversion of control elements to high-pressure hydraulic control.

👉 Another CPB 100 hydraulic baling press is on its way to our customer! ♻️

At the end of October, we shipped another CPB 100 press from our factory, this time to the main premises of NAPOS, a.s. scrap metal processing plant in Předměřice nad Labem.

NAPOS has been a major scrap processor on the Czech market since 1996 and has long relied on ŽĎAS, a.s. equipment for its operations – from older CNS 320 K container shears to modern CNS 400 shears with electric drive 🔌

We wish you trouble-free operation and many tons of processed material!
And we look forward to further joint projects – because cooperation with long-term partners is always inspiring 💙
