🆕 We are introducing RhizoStore and RhizoMove as accessories for the LemnaTec PhenoAIxpert Pro Root.

🟢 LemnaTec RhizoStore: Store the LemnaTec Rhizotron boxes at 45° angle to ensure proper growth of the roots along the transparent plate. The RhizoStore holds the rhizotrons during cultivation in greenhouses or growth rooms, and ensures that the transparent plate of the rhizotrons is shielded from light so that roots are in a dark environment.

🟢 LemnaTec RhizoMove is a dedicated trolley to move rhizotron boxes between the growth area and the PhenoAIxpert Pro Root imaging cabinet - or for any other transportation purposes. On the trolley, the rhizotron boxes are stored in the same holders as in the RhizoMove, so at 45° angle with light-shielded roots.

Using one or multiple projection images of the plant surface as surrogate for plant size and biomass is a well-established method in plant phenotyping. In calibration experiments, actual size or biomass is correlated to visible area extracted from the images.

🟢 But there is more inside such images. By leveraging 3D Space Carving, we are enabling researchers to move past the limitations of occlusion and “flat” data. Space carving calculates 3D data on objects that were imaged from a series of view angles.
