Our experiment EDOD stands for Experimental Deployment Of a Dragsail and will be launched into space on an Orion rocket in February/March 2013. Wir sind Studenten der RWTH Aachen und nehmen an der REXUS 13/14 Kampagne teil. Das Ziel unseres Experimentes EDOD (Experimental Deployment Of a Dragsail) ist die Entfaltung eines Widerstandssegels. Dafür startet es im Februar/März 2013 auf einer Orion Rakete in den Weltraum.

Wie kann Weltraummüll schneller entsorgt werden? Wie ist das Weltraumwetter? Am 9. Mai 2013 startete um 6.00 Uhr MESZ vom Raumfahrtzentrum Esrange bei Kiruna in Schweden die REXUS-13-Forschungsrakete mit vier Studenten-Experimenten an Bord, um diese und andere Fragen zu klären.

Launch was sucessful. First data shows that our experiment worked as expected. Now we are waiting for the recovery of the payload.
