Just wrapped up an engaging and forward-looking panel on **“Clicking Our Way Through Queues: Digital Identity for the Digital State”**—a critical conversation at the intersection of technology, governance, and citizen services.

It was a privilege to share the main stage, expertly moderated by Amanda Drury of CNBC—one of the world’s most recognized international business journalists, known for her incisive interviewing style and deep insights into global markets and geopolitics.

Alongside distinguished co-panelists:

* Dr. P. C. Jaffar, Secretary to the Government of Karnataka, India
* Malick Gueye, General Manager of Wave, Senegal

Our discussion highlighted how **digital identity systems** are reshaping public service delivery—reducing friction, enhancing trust, and enabling more inclusive, efficient governance. From cybersecurity considerations to real-world implementation challenges, the session reinforced that **secure and accessible digital ID is foundational to the digital state**.

Grateful for the rich exchange of ideas in a hall dedicated to cybersecurity, where the urgency of building **trusted, resilient digital ecosystems** was strongly felt.

Honored to contribute to the “Space for All: Bridging the Global Gap through Space Innovation” webinar organized by SDG Academy Islamabad under SDG-18.

The dialogue benefited from high-level participation of distinguished experts representing respected international institutions, space agencies, academia, and industry — reflecting the truly global relevance of this agenda.

In my remarks, I emphasized that space must be treated as development infrastructure — essential for climate resilience, food security, water governance, and disaster resilience.

Bridging the global gap requires not only access to technology, but stronger innovation ecosystems, structured financing mechanisms, and enhanced South–South cooperation.

Grateful to the organizers and fellow speakers for advancing this important conversation.

# # # **Brief History of the Kawahiva Tribe**

The **Kawahiva** are an *uncontacted*, nomadic hunter-gatherer people living in the remote forests of southern Amazonia, near **Rio Pardo in Mato Grosso, Brazil**. They traditionally move through the rainforest in small groups, building temporary shelters and relying on a deep knowledge of their natural environment.

Their way of life is based on seasonal movement, hunting, gathering, and an intimate understanding of the plants, animals, and ecosystems of the Amazon. Much of what is known about the Kawahiva comes from careful observations made at a distance, respecting their choice to remain isolated.

The Kawahiva represent a unique and ancient cultural lineage of the Amazon—an example of human adaptation, simplicity, and harmony with the natural world. Their story highlights the remarkable diversity and depth of indigenous heritage in the region.
