This week, our team visited TRIGEMA – a long-standing Mayer & Cie. customer located only a few kilometres from our headquarters in Albstadt.

As Germany’s largest manufacturer of sports and leisurewear, TRIGEMA stands for a clear commitment to Made in Germany and sustainable manufacturing. The family-owned company is deeply rooted in the region and takes its social responsibility seriously – not least through its strong commitment to its employees and the local community.

And there is another connection: TRIGEMA operates an extensive installed base of Mayer & Cie. circular knitting machines. Over many years, proximity has grown into a strong and trusted partnership.

So, there is quite a lot that connects us: our roots in the Swabian Alb, manufacturing in Germany, a long-term perspective – and, of course, a passion for great fabric.

Today we'd like you to meet our Head of Purchasing, Antonio Colella.

For him, Mayer & Cie. has always been part of Albstadt. Seeing the company continue its journey here means preserving a piece of the region's industrial heritage while creating new opportunities for the future.

Sometimes, a company party can simply be a company party. 😊

Last Friday, almost the entire Mayer & Cie. Global team came together for our summer party at the Waldheim in Albstadt.
There was good food, live music by our colleague Tobias Conzelmann, some surprisingly ambitious mini golf and, most importantly, plenty of time to talk, laugh and spend an evening together away from machines, meetings and everyday business.

And yes, it felt pretty special to be there together as a team. Who would have thought, just half a year ago, that we'd be celebrating together again?

CEO Alton Xu also took the opportunity to share a few thoughts on where we stand today and where we want to go next. His message: Think long term. Take responsibility. Keep improving. And build a company that succeeds as a team.

Then it was back to the important business of the evening: food, music and good company. 😊

Meeting people makes all the difference

Last week, Mayer & Cie. Global joined the Textilregion Neckar-Alb exhibition at Groz-Beckert as part of the Innovation Days of IHK Reutlingen. Together with around ten other textile companies from our region, we had the opportunity to present our company, exchange ideas and reconnect with partners from industry, academia and business associations.

What stood out most wasn't the exhibition itself – it was the conversations.

Many visitors told us that meeting our team in person gave them a completely different impression of Mayer & Cie. Global than simply reading about our restart in the news. They experienced firsthand the commitment, optimism and determination with which we are rebuilding our company.

For us, this was an encouraging reminder that trust grows through personal exchange. We are grateful to Groz-Beckert for hosting this excellent event and to everyone who stopped by our booth.

Back on stage

ITM 2026 in Istanbul marked the first major trade fair appearance of Mayer & Cie. Global since the company's restart.

The response from customers, partners and representatives was clear: the Mayer & Cie. brand still stands for premium circular knitting technology, reliability and innovation.

At the same time, our new setup allows us to respond more flexibly to different market requirements while remaining fully committed to our premium machines made in Germany.

The many conversations we had during the exhibition also confirmed how important close customer relationships, strong local representatives, reliable service and spare parts availability remain for our industry.

Our sales department is back in action!

And it’s great to be on the road again: Last week, our colleague Stefan Bühler—an old hand from our sales department—hit the road again for the first time after our restart. His travels took him to Turkey, where he met with customers as well as with the Mayer Mümessilik team, our long-standing agent at the Bosporus.

Together, they also pushed forward the preparations for ITM in Istanbul. Visitors there will have the opportunity to see two OV 3.2 QCe Mayer & Cie. double jersey machines in action. Both machines feature a 30’’ diameter: one is a fine gauge knitting specialist at E40, while the other operates at a gauge of E28.

These machines successfully address the premium interlock segment—not only in Turkey, but in many other markets as well. The trend is clearly moving towards fine gauge applications.

Rethinking engineering – insights from Hannover Messe

An eight-person team from Mayer & Cie. headed to Hannover Messe at the beginning of last week. Among them: colleagues from design, development, electronics development and IT – as well as our new owner, Xu Hongjie.

Their goal was clear: to gather ideas and inspiration for the next stage of our mechanical engineering journey. How can we automate standard tasks in a meaningful way? How can AI support our development processes? And how can we become faster in testing and validation?

As a German mechanical engineering company with a long tradition, we aim to combine proven engineering expertise with new technologies – to develop faster, test more efficiently, and deliver solutions that create real value for our customers.
Hannover Messe provided valuable impulses to move forward on this path.
