You got it: we’re celebrating 50 years of hightech in action
This is perfect "moment" to introduce some of our colleagues, like Charles Howarth.
His “Herrenknecht moment” began when he was given the opportunity to help build up Herrenknecht Australia.
This was preceded by many years of joint projects:In 1995, the Australian mechanical engineer traveled overseas for the very first time to Schwanau via Switzerland on behalf of his employer at the time to oversee the use of Swiss - Australian collaborated equipment being installed on Herrenknecht machines for an international project. What began as a collaboration between two companies evolved over many years into a close partnership. Whether in Switzerland, Europe, the U.S., the Middle East, or Asia: Charles worked with Herrenknecht worldwide and even opened an office in Germany for his former company.
When his family wanted to return to Australia in 2006, the next step presented itself: “After proving myself as a project manager, I was given the opportunity to help build up Herrenknecht’s Australian subsidiary.” Shortly thereafter, the long-time partner became a Herrenknecht employee. A decision that would shape his future path.
For 30 years, Charles heads Herrenknecht Australia and, together with his team, oversees some of the continent’s most significant infrastructure projects.
