Nein, du musst dafür nicht um 5 Uhr aufstehen, Zitronenwasser trinken oder manifestieren. 😌

Manchmal reichen schon 3 ziemlich unspektakuläre Alltagsmoves, um etwas Sinnvolles zu tun:

Recyclingpapier wählen, Papier bewusst nutzen und Altpapier sauber trennen.

Klingt nicht nach Life-Coach-Magie — hilft aber dabei, Ressourcen zu schonen und den Papierkreislauf in Bewegung zu halten. Blatt für Blatt, ganz ohne Selbstoptimierungsstress. 🌱📄

The myth: recycled fibre and food packaging don’t go together – we’re proving the opposite?

This was one of the key topics discussed at the Smithers Moulded Fibre Conference in Amsterdam.

At WEPA, we believe that increasing the use of recycled fibres in various applications, beyond the tissue industry, is an important driver for the circular economy. With the right processes and quality controls in place, recycled fibre can play a significant role for example in food packaging applications.

Europe has a great opportunity to make better use of valuable paper for recycling and strengthen circular material flows within the region to strengthen European sovereignty.

👋 Abschied von Jupiter.

Nein, nicht vom Planeten. 🌍 Jupiter ist der Name einer Papiermaschine an unserem Standort in Bridgend, die uns über 55 Jahre begleitet hat.

Zum Abschied kehrten drei Brüder zurück, die einst die ersten Papierrollen auf Jupiter produzierten – ein besonderer Moment und ein würdiger Abschluss eines wichtigen Kapitels unserer Geschichte.

Jupiter war mehr als eine Maschine. Sie steht für Generationen von Mitarbeitenden, Teamgeist und viele gemeinsame Erinnerungen.

Danke an alle, die Jupiter in den vergangenen 55 Jahren begleitet haben. 🫱🏼‍🫲🏼

How can industrial transformation succeed in practice?

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Sandra Stein, Member of the German Bundestag for the Hochsauerlandkreis, and Matthias Koch, Mayor of Marsberg, to our Giershagen site to discuss the opportunities and challenges of the industrial transition.

🏭 The visit offered a great opportunity to showcase how we are advancing our journey towards Net Zero – through electrification, expanding renewable energy sources, and the adoption of innovative technologies. It also highlighted the important role of circular economy principles in building more sustainable and resilient operations.

💡 One key takeaway: industrial transformation is not driven by technology alone. Reliable policy frameworks, competitive electricity prices, strong grid infrastructure, and efficient permitting processes are essential to accelerate progress and strengthen Europe’s industrial competitiveness.

🤝 Constructive dialogue between industry and policymakers remains crucial as we work together towards a more sustainable future.
