It was a pleasure to host an inspiring packaging seminar in Munich this week for a delegation of Korean packaging industry leaders visiting Europe during this year’s in Düsseldorf.

The event was organized by , Korea’s leading packaging platform, represented by CEO & Chairman Mr. Lee Han-Young, and supported by our valued local partner AllesInternational LTD, represented by Mr. Se Jun Park.

Together, Karin Enderle and Wolfgang Hiesinger shared insights into:

• – our global footprint and current product portfolio
• Key packaging trends shaping the European market
• The regulatory framework and implications of the PPWR
• Our Sleeve Offset concept and its key benefits

A special thank you goes to Se Jun Park for his excellent simultaneous translation, which enabled a highly interactive and engaging exchange throughout the seminar.

Weekend challenge: two press breakdowns, one strong team with immediate solutions.

Even the most reliable printing presses can experience unexpected failures. When that happens, every minute counts – a fast, well coordinated service deployment makes all the difference.

That’s exactly what our customer Westend Druckereibetriebe in Essen, part of the WKS Group, experienced: two unexpected press breakdowns over a single weekend, both caused by mechanical damage to different units.

First, a gear train in the folding unit sustained severe damage. In an entirely separate and unrelated incident, a gearbox failure occurred in a printing unit of another press.

This resulted in simultaneous downtime across both machines, creating significant time pressure and corresponding production losses – a situation demanding strong technical expertise, flexibility, and true teamwork.

Our service team acted immediately:
✓ Spare parts were immediately identified and efficiently mobilized through the customer network.
✓ A technician was promptly dispatched to retrieve matching components from another press.
✓ Another team was quickly rerouted to carry out the repair at WKS.
✓ Meanwhile, our engineering and TSC colleagues in Augsburg provided remote technical support.

Result: fast repair and successful restart of operations.

This project highlights what excellent service is all about: flexibility, technical expertise, and true teamwork – exactly when it matters most.

Rund 8.000 Besucherinnen und Besucher informierten sich bei über 230 Ausstellern im Messezentrum Augsburg über Ausbildungswege, Karrieremöglichkeiten und offene Stellen.

Unser fünfköpfiges Team stand mit großem Engagement interessierten Jugendlichen sowie ihren Eltern für Fragen rund um unsere Ausbildungsberufe zur Verfügung. Besonders gefreut hat uns das große Interesse an unseren noch offenen Ausbildungsplätzen.
