Our RIPPultimate® solar absorber from SOLAR-RIPP® is in use in the sunny south of Greece ☀️

No distance is too far for a new SOLAR-RIPP® installation! For the system shown in the picture, we delivered the ordered solar absorber via freight forwarding over a distance of around 2,500 km. We don’t want our customers to wait, so the order arrived at our customer’s location in Greece after only around 10 days. 🌍

For the pool, which holds 64,000 liters of water and measures 4.4 m x 9.4 m, the customer chose a pergola solution, which is perfectly suited to support the ribbed tubing system. The 37 m² RIPPultimate® solar absorber in the HRPL design fits perfectly on the pergola roof and is located close to the pool. 💧The system is complemented by a pump with a capacity of 15 m³/h.

Find the Right Position for the Solar Sensor from SOLAR-RIPP® 🔎

The original RIPPultimate® solar controller operates with at least two temperature sensors. In this post, we will explain how to install the external or solar sensor. This sensor is particularly important for the solar controller's function, as it detects and measures whether the sun is shining or not. ☀️ The solar controller compares the value from the solar sensor with the current pool water temperature to determine whether the solar system should run. All of this is handled completely automatically by the solar controller❗

Please mount the solar sensor using a UV-resistant cable tie on the outlet manifold of the RIPPultimate® solar absorber. The position should be chosen so that it is not shaded by neighboring houses or trees. 🌳For the best results, the sensor should be exposed to sunlight from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

From our many years of experience, this measurement method has proven to be highly effective and is preferable to methods that measure inside the collector. This approach compensates for various measurement errors, and the system starts operating earlier in the morning since the entire water content does not need to be heated first. 💧 Additionally, this method provides 100% reliability in terms of potential sealing issues.
