Xinhua News Agency recognizes thyssenkrupp Polysius' Technologies as “Intelligent Zero Carbon Demonstration Achievements” 🌱

We’re proud to share that thyssenkrupp Polysius has been honored as a "2023-2024 Intelligent Zero Carbon Demonstration Achievement" by Xinhua News Agency in China, highlighting the impact of our technologies in advancing the green transformation of China’s cement industry. With the cement sector contributing 13% of China’s emissions, solutions like the prepol® SC, polab, and Maerz lime kiln are already driving progress. 💪

Our advanced green technologies from thyssenkrupp Polysius well fit the local market needs and de-carbon strategy mandated by Chinese central government. Cement Producer receives Double Roller Crushers from thyssenkrupp Polysius 🙌

We’re thrilled to announce that our customer has once again placed their trust in thyssenkrupp Polysius, ordering four new Double Roller Crushers for their two upcoming crusher lines. This follows the successful delivery of several Double Roller Crushers in previous projects. 💪

This latest order includes two Primary and two Secondary Double Roller Crushers, each design-optimized. For the first time, the customer has also selected four Apron Feeders from our product range. Assembly of the rotors will take place in our Beckum workshop. ⚙️

💬 Holger Reich, Senior Project Manager Crushing Technology, said: "The customer has been relying on the expertise of thyssenkrupp for the last 15 years. It's a great example of successful customer loyalty."

From the inauguration of the first calcined clay plant in Cameroon to the groundbreaking ceremony for one of the world's first CO₂ neutral cement plants in Germany, we're proud of the contribution our team and our technologies have made. 🌱

Giving Back in Atlanta: Supporting Those in Need 🙌

The team at thyssenkrupp Polysius in Atlanta recently organized two initiatives to help the local community:

🍲 Food for Friends Drive:

In honor of National Food Bank Day, the team came together to donate food to a local organization dedicated to feeding those in need. These contributions are helping provide nutritious meals to individuals experiencing homelessness in the Atlanta area.

👚 Donation Drive:

Clothing, household items, toiletries, and more were collected for the MUST Ministries Donation Center. These donations will directly support local families, providing essential items for those who need them most.

A huge thank you to the amazing team for their generosity and commitment to making a difference in the community! 💪

Reflecting on a Week of Learning and Exchange: International Technology Forum 2024 🌍

Last week, we hosted the International Technology Forum 2024 at thyssenkrupp Polysius in Beckum, Germany. Over six days, 33 participants from around the globe participated in intensive workshop sessions and presentations on maintenance strategies for kilns, mills, and crushers. 💡

The event also featured a workshop tour, a visit to our R&D Center, and plenty of networking opportunities over dinner. And of course, a visit to the local Christmas market was a must. The exchange of ideas, hands-on insights, and collaborative spirit made this forum a resounding success. 🙌

Partnership with Heidelberg Materials for the GeZero carbon capture project 🌱

thyssenkrupp Polysius will design the clinker production line for the GeZero CCS project in Geseke, Germany, following the signing of a front-end engineering design contract. The GeZero project, supported by the EU Innovation Fund, will be one of the first European cement plants capable of producing net-zero cement and clinker on a carbon capture and storage (CCS) basis. When completed in 2029, the plant will have a potential capture capacity of 700,000 tons per year and will incorporate the polysius® pure oxyfuel technology. 💡

💬 Christian Myland, CEO of thyssenkrupp Polysius, states: "We are proud to be involved in this flagship project for one of the world's leading cement producers. It once again underlines the acceptance of the polysius® pure oxyfuel process developed by us as one of the most promising technologies for CO2 reduction in the construction industry".

Last October, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the thyssenkrupp Polysius North America team took action to raise awareness and show support for those affected by breast cancer. Team members dedicated a day to wearing pink in solidarity with the breast cancer community.

In addition, we proudly partnered with the Susan G. Komen organization as a sponsor of the More than Pink Walk in Atlanta. By supporting their vision of a world without breast cancer, we're helping to drive progress in research, treatment and support for those affected. 🙏
