dotmoon We like to move IT We go for a better Planet by freeing up the earth from unneded IT ressources: our servers and datastores. Asteroids hitting us?

Nothing better for them to stay and work on the surface of the moon. sunlight to drive our panels, cold enough for our cpus as well. No Hurricanes, no Tsunamis, no Earthquakes. no exhaust, no waste, just driven on solar energy. So what, we are fine on redundancy from the beginning ;-)

Step one:

So give us 3 containers, we fix them for running fine up there. Add some little sattelite driven bandw

idth for the beginning, fly our boxes up there and we're done. Once they're dropped, boot their cpus and panels, align for internal comm (2 other containers, 1 sattelite each) ... we claim the toplevel internet domain .moon for applications and storage that is certified to run on the first extraterresestical datacenter on our trabant. Step two:

Webspace is sold for highest redundancy and security data issues and available from up there via sattelites on bandwitdh and capacity just added on demand. So fly up the next 256 containers and we are very fine to hold about the current internet up there. Fine for very very very secure data, all these important "highest confidential" papers would give a nice fire down here after scanning and uploading :-)

Step two (alternate version):

Hire 3 containers of webspace to the biggest advertising banner in mankind... so you are to be the pioneers to pay for mankind to heal this planet. So dotmoon says welcome to sponsors -> suggestions:

(just some ideas, listed alphabetically)

-apple.moon
-bmw.moon
-coca-cola.moon
-.....
-adidas.moon
-nike.moon
-nespresso.moon
-.....
-and of course: sun.moon ;-)

(noone left out here, list is just limited not to blow up facebook servers ;-)

Step three:

Balanced on advertising income, highavailabale highsecure storage-for-rent, the sponsors reduce Datacenters on the planet, so like we now reduce nuclear-reactors, we reduce the need for them by switching local Datacenters off, or even reduce their load byte by byte, cycle by cycle, disk by disk. Step four:

According to better grown planet health, science is pushed, military needs are lowered to nearly zero. Investment is done to have the containers just built up there by robots and remotely placed all over the lighted lunar surface. Step five:

Containers are rearranged to the dark side for more capacity but slower connection due to latency issues for additional sattelite-hops. so sats have to oribt the moon too, then.
.....

Step ? (don't know right now but still one-figured):

No Asteroid has hit us, but we are low on ground up there... no more servers and datacenters heat up our planet, no more military need is eating our money or trust to other people in this world, no more kids are starving and most of all illnesses are handled or identified as a lie. Money has left the planet too, we pay on our work and share what it the result of it. Some little more peace and love is able to come back even sooner. But we lack redundancy again, because we only have ONE moon :-((( and it is a robot driven datacenter then... must go for a second, even bigger and better one, perhaps some more miles away...

Time to go for dotvenus.net -> ups, i did IT again ;-)
