🇩🇪🗳️ Calling All Pakistanis in Germany: Make Your Vote Count! 🗳️🇩🇪
Dear community,
Germany’s elections play a crucial role in shaping the future of the country we live in. Whether it’s local, state, or federal elections, your vote matters! Here’s a quick guide to how you can participate:
✅ Who Can Vote?
• German citizens (including naturalized Pakistanis)
• EU citizens (for local & EU Parliament elections)
• Permanent residents can engage in local political discussions & advocacy
✅ How to Vote?
• Check your eligibility: You’ll receive an election notification (Wahlbenachrichtigung) by mail.
• Vote by mail or in person: You can apply for postal voting (Briefwahl) if you can’t visit the polling station.
• Know your candidates & parties: Research their policies to make an informed choice.
✅ Understanding Your Two Votes (Zwei Stimmen)
In Bundestag elections, you have two votes:
🗳️ Erststimme (First Vote) – You vote for a direct candidate from your district (Wahlkreis). The candidate with the most votes wins the seat.
🗳️ Zweitstimme (Second Vote) – You vote for a political party. This determines the overall proportion of seats a party gets in the Bundestag.
✅ Why It Matters?
Your vote influences policies on immigration, education, jobs, and integration. Let’s be active, informed, and responsible residents of Germany!
📢 Spread the word & encourage fellow Pakistanis to participate!
