Müller (*1915 / †2010) founded the company in Essen, part of the Ruhr region, in 1961. In 1963 he built a production plant for concrete and mortar admixtures in Bottrop, a neighbouring town of Essen. First German EPD for Approved Cement-Free Concrete 🌱

Earth Friendly Concrete (EFC) has become the first cement-free concrete in Germany to receive an official Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). In the C50/60 strength class, it also achieves the highest sustainability rating of the Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC).🔝

By eliminating cement from the mix, EFC can reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 75% while offering excellent technical performance and enhanced chemical resistance. The concrete is approved by the German Institute for Construction Technology (DIBt) and is suitable for demanding applications, including Exposure Class XA3.

This combination of proven performance and outstanding sustainability marks an important step toward more climate-friendly construction. 🌍

How to stabilise unstable or weak soil with injection technology 🏗️🌍💡

Unstable or weak building soil remains one of the key problems for planners and engineers in the construction industry. 🧱

It can cause considerable structural damage, such as cracking, deformation or settlement. 🚧

Stabilising and reinforcing the building ground is therefore essential, especially when renovating existing structures and constructing new buildings on unstable ground. 🏠
Modern injection methods are used to improve the load-bearing capacity of the soil and protect structures in the long term. 💪

Fair-faced concrete for the spa at Jakobsberg Nature Resort ✨🧱

As part of the comprehensive renovation of the Jakobsberg Nature Resort in Boppard, Germany, aesthetically appealing, textured precast concrete elements were produced for the new spa area. 💦 By using coordinated concrete admixtures and a high-performance release agent from MC-Bauchemie, high-quality fair-faced concrete surfaces were achieved.🔝

The combination of both admixtures MC-PowerFlow evo 306 and Centrament Surface Pro enabled a stable concrete mix design that ensures good workability and a low-porosity fair-faced concrete appearance. 🧪

The demoulding process also played an important role in achieving the desired surface quality. 🔧 The low-viscosity release agent Ortolan Basic 761 forms a uniform, very thin separating film on the formwork surface, ensuring safe and clean demoulding. At the same time, it helps further reduce pore formation on the concrete surface.

International Marketing Meeting 2026 | Poznań, Poland 🌐

From 21 to 24 April 2026 colleagues from different MC country organisations and three continents as well as our International and Segment Marketing teams came together in Poznań, Poland, to exchange marketing ideas, align on global priorities and strengthen collaboration. 🤝

Highlights included a factory tour at MC Poland 🏭, DIY store visits, the presentation of new global marketing concepts and a new social media design, country marketing success stories 💡and a workshop focused on improving global collaboration. The program was rounded off with a city tour and team dinners in Poznań’s beautiful old town. 🍽️✨

The feedback was clear: a highly productive and inspiring meeting that reinforced personal connections, strengthened team spirit and further developed our global mindset. 🚀👏

🌐 Strong MCU team performance at WTC 2026 in Montréal! 💪

This year’s World Tunnel Congress (WTC), held from May 15 to May 21 in Montréal, Canada, was a great success for our MC Underground Business Unit (MCU). In an international setting, the exhibition provided an excellent platform for our MCU and our Canadian team to engage in personal exchanges with customers, partners, and industry experts from the fields of tunnelling, mining, injection technologies, and transportation and railway infrastructure. 🚇

We would like to thank everyone who visited our booth and joined the discussions throughout the week. 🤝 A special thank you goes to our dedicated teams on site, whose commitment, expertise, and teamwork made this event a great success. 👷‍♂️👏

New OS 11a coating system for multi-storey car parks 🔝😎

Car park surfaces must withstand heavy daily wear and tear – from traffic, abrasion, de-icing salts and the weather. ☝️ This makes a surface protection system that provides lasting protection whilst conserving resources all the more important. The flexible reactive resin system MC-DUR TopSpeed flex plus meets these requirements and is now certified as an OS 11a system – a surface protection system with enhanced crack-bridging properties in accordance with the German Technical Rule for the Maintenance of Concrete Structures (TR-IH).

oil stabilisation secures historic tower in Bosnia & Herzegovina

In the Bosnian city of Gradačac, an important cultural and historical landmark has been sustainably secured. Age-related settlement and heterogeneous subsoil conditions had caused deformations that threatened the structural stability of the historic tower.

To preserve the landmark without affecting its historic fabric, a minimally invasive soil stabilisation solution was implemented in close cooperation with MC-Bauchemie. Using the injection system MC-Montan Injekt FN, the subsoil was precisely consolidated and the tower foundation permanently stabilised. ⚙️🏗️
