Women at HESS GROUP: Behind every safe business trip is a calm head.
At HESS GROUP, we’re proud of the women who shape our company with expertise, commitment and responsibility.
Today we’re introducing Heidemarie Scholl, our colleague from Travel Management and an important point of contact for business travelers across the organization.
She supports our colleagues throughout the entire process of their business trips, from planning and organization to travel information and country specific requirements. She is also responsible for Travel Risk Management within the TOPWERK Group, helping our travelers stay informed and prepared when travelling to different countries.

What she enjoys most about her work is the variety. Visa regulations, laws and guidelines are constantly changing, so there is always something new to learn. Through Travel Risk Management, she also gets to learn more about different cultures and country specific customs. No two days are the same, and that’s exactly what she loves about her role.
One of the biggest challenges she faced was during the COVID 19 pandemic, when borders suddenly closed and flights were cancelled. Two colleagues, one in the USA and one in Moscow, needed to get home. It took two weeks, but eventually both were able to return safely. Even later during the pandemic, she and her team found ways to navigate changing entry regulations and make it possible for technicians to travel to customer plants.
Her advice to anyone new in Travel Management or at HESS GROUP? Always stay calm, we do not perform open heart surgery. 😉
