Fraunhofer ISE invites industry experts, researchers and technology leaders to join the workshop “Laser Processing of Wide-Bandgap Semiconductors” in Freiburg, on June 17–18, 2026

Meet us at the 13th CAM-Workshop in Halle on May 19–20, 2026!

This includes the brand-new microPREP L, developed to revolutionize failure analysis in the semiconductor industry through precise, efficient sample processing. Together with Leibniz University Hannover as the coordinating partner and the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute, we are launching the funded project . Funded under the “Photonics for Production” initiative, the project will run from 2026 to 2028 and has a total volume of €1.49 million.

The goal is to develop a novel system without moving mechanical parts for automated laser materials processing and real-time in-process analysis. To achieve this, Leibniz University Hannover, HHI and 3D-Micromac are combining their expertise. This will enable compact photonic solutions for industrial applications.
