Every day, we work across national borders – with teams in Germany, the Netherlands and England. What begins as a professional collaboration often develops into genuine friendships.
Whether it’s visiting each other, invitations to weddings, taking part in triathlons together or simply spending time together – colleagues become friends.

That’s exactly what makes our international collaboration so special. After all, a strong team isn’t just built on shared goals, but also on mutual trust, respect and personal connections.

Huber Parking at the Triathlon in Bydgoszcz🚲

Last week, colleagues from Germany, England and the Netherlands travelled to Poland to join our partners at Metalbark and take part in the triathlon in Bydgoszcz.

On Saturday, Markus and David lined up as individual competitors for the quarter-distance race. Andre, Sabine and Oliver also competed as a relay team. On Sunday, Daniela, Jannik, Rebecca and Merle followed, successfully completing the eighth-distance race. Our partners at Metalbark were also represented by three relay teams in the eighth-distance race.

A particular highlight: our managing director Markus once again took first place in his age group. 🥇

We warmly congratulate all participants on their sporting achievements and thank Metalbark for their hospitality. We’re already looking forward to our next event together!

Meet Rebecca, our Net Zero Manager at Huber Parking, who has volunteered more than 145 hours with City Harvest, helping rescue surplus food and get it to people who need it most.👏

Taking on roles from warehouse assistant - helping sort and distribute food to those in need - to event ambassador and volunteer team support, Rebecca’s contribution is helping to tackle food poverty, reduce waste and create a positive impact for both people and the planet.

At Huber Parking, every employee is encouraged to use a paid volunteering day each year to support causes that matter to them. Rebecca’s story shows what can happen when people are given the time and support to make a difference.

As part of our rebranding, we distributed old letterheads and notepads to the local nurseries near our site in Germany. We were delighted when the Mini-Maxis and Maxis from Casa Vivida came to visit our offices two weeks ago and presented us with a wonderful picture created using our donated craft supplies. 🖌✂Further, we were told that the donated bee hotel is fully ‘booked’ for the first time this year.🐝 We loved the visit, our gift and the bee hotel news and would like to say an enormous thank you to the children!💛

This week, our quarterly town hall meeting took place at our office in Langley. 📣 In addition to an update from our managing directors on current and upcoming projects, training sessions were held on topics such as the intranet, Build 365 and innovation within the company.

After the meeting, the team headed to Heathrow for bowling and drinks. 🎳 After bowling, some of the team went for a bite to eat and a big catch up. It was another great team-building event enjoyed by all.😊

We are pleased to report that construction of the new multi-storey car park at Calderdale Royal Hospital (Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust) in Halifax is progressing well and remains on programme as we move into the final stages of the structural phase.

Steel er****on works are now nearing completion, marking a significant milestone on the project. Alongside this, decking installation and reinforcement works are advancing efficiently, ensuring we are well-positioned for the concrete pours. The project will bring significant benefits to patients and communities, supporting the development of a new hospital building due for completion in 2029, which will almost double the size of the hospital.

A key focus of the project has been our commitment to supporting the local economy and community. We are proud to be working with local contractors, agencies, and suppliers, as well as utilising locally sourced plant and equipment. In addition, we have actively engaged with local apprenticeship schemes, providing opportunities for skills development and employment within the region. As part of our wider social value commitments, we have also supported local charities, reinforcing our dedication to delivering not just infrastructure, but lasting positive impact within the Halifax community.

With momentum continuing across all work fronts, we look forward to continuing with the concrete phase and bringing this important project closer to completion.
