Mitsubishi Chemical started "SOAGREEN PROGRAM" as a new approach to the sustainability of acetate fiber "SOALON". We aim to visualize the degree of environmental burden of the product by making it numerical, classifying, and giving it objectivity. "Soalon" is a semi-synthetic fiber that uses wood pulp as a raw material, and is attracting attention as a sustainable material not only in Japan but also overseas. Mitsubishi Chemical has obtained various third-party certifications, such as the Bluesigh certification, in order to guarantee sustainability at every stage from raw material procurement to textile manufacturing.
