Die DECHEMA Gesellschaft für Chemische Technik und Biotechnologie e.V. führt Fachleute unterschiedlicher Disziplinen, Institutionen und Generationen zusammen, um den wissenschaftlichen Austausch in chemischer Technik, Verfahrenstechnik und Biotechnologie zu fördern. Wir suchen nach neuen technologischen Trends, bewerten diese und begleiten die Umsetzung von Forschungsergebnissen in technische Anwe

ndungen. Die DECHEMA ist Kern eines interdisziplinären Netzwerks von themenbezogenen Gremien und organisiert Veranstaltungen und Weiterbildung für alle, die an einem Fachthema interessiert sind. Mehr als 5.800 Personen und Organisationen gehören der DECHEMA als Mitglieder an. In der Fachgemeinschaft Biotechnologie und in ProcessNet, der gemeinsamen Plattform für chemische Technik, begegnen sich Naturwissenschaftler, Ingenieure, Studierende, Firmen und Institutionen und tauschen sich aus. Darüberhinaus betreuen wir Förderbereiche sowie nationale und europäische Forschungsverbünde. Als Mitglied der AiF organisieren wir Projekte der Industriellen Gemeinschaftsforschung. Gemeinsam mit der DECHEMA Ausstellungs-GmbH sind wir Veranstalter der ACHEMA, des Weltforums der Prozessindustrie. Mit dem DECHEMA-Forschungsinstitut, das Forschung für nachhaltige Technologien in den Bereichen Biotechnologie, Werkstoffe und Chemische Technik betreibt, arbeiten wir eng zusammen.

The lecture and poster programme is available as online version! Discover what’s ahead at Advances in Chemical Biology (26 - 27 January 2027, Frankfurt am Main) and explore the latest developments and cutting-edge research in Chemical Biology.

Young researchers and their work will be at the heart of the conference. Alongside inspiring invited lectures, the poster exhibition will offer plenty of opportunities to present and discuss new research. Poster authors will also have the opportunity to showcase their work in a short lecture session.

The lecture programme will be preceded by a tutorial workshop with Kurt Ritter on “Macrocycles in Drug Discovery.”

At 3D Cell Culture 2027: Functional Precision Medicine – Models and Molecules, Dr. Krijn Dijkstra from The Netherlands Cancer Institute will join us as a Keynote Speaker.

In his keynote, “Strength through diversity: Patient-derived organoids to dissect the heterogeneity of immune evasion in cancer,” he will share insights from his research at the intersection of patient-derived models, tumor heterogeneity, and cancer immunology.

From 16–18 March 2027, scientists, clinicians, and industry leaders will come together at the Konzerthaus Freiburg to explore how next-generation 3D models — from organoids and cellular aggregates to microphysiological systems (MPS) — can support therapeutic decisions and accelerate functional precision medicine.

The program will span key topics including the tumor-immune interface, multi-omics, AI/ML, high-throughput screening, vascularization, microenvironment engineering, standardization, and regulatory pathways.

Expect three days of focused scientific exchange, inspiring keynotes, pitch presentations, a poster party, an industry exhibition, and hands-on workshops.

Am Mittwoch, dem 04. November 2026, findet im DECHEMA-Haus in Frankfurt am Main der Innovationstag Prozess- und Anlagensicherheit statt. Das ganztägige Workshop-Format der DECHEMA bietet Raum, Impulse zu setzen, Vernetzung zu fördern und gemeinsam neue Aktivitäten und Kooperationen zu entwickeln.

Organisiert von der DECHEMA-Fachsektion Prozess- und Anlagensicherheit steht dabei der fachsektions- und disziplinübergreifende Austausch im Mittelpunkt: Ziel ist es, sich mit anderen Fachsektionen zu vernetzen, bestehende Kooperationen fortzusetzen oder neue anzustoßen und gemeinsam relevante Themen zu identifizieren.

The annual meeting of the DECHEMA/VDI Process Engineering and Materials Technology (PEMT 2026) section will take place on 16–17 November 2026 at the GenoHotel in Karlsruhe, Germany.

This year’s programme covers a broad range of current topics, including trends in process development and process simulation, process and plant safety, circular value creation, and digital technologies in engineering, plant construction and plant operation.

A key part of the meeting will once again be a panel discussion featuring selected experts from the community. This year’s working title is: “Is the process industry AI-ready?”

The 15th International Workshop on Polymer Reaction Engineering (PRE 2026) will take place from 8–11 September 2026 at Fraunhofer IAP in Potsdam, Germany.

The workshop brings together experts from academia and industry to discuss the latest developments in polymer reaction engineering – from process design and innovative catalysts to advanced simulation, renewable feedstocks and polymer recycling. Against the backdrop of rising energy costs and the transition towards sustainable raw materials, the programme will highlight new approaches to more efficient and resource-saving polymer production processes.

PRE 2026 also offers an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, build new connections and discuss current challenges and future directions in polymer technology.

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Lauriane Cabon from the Roche Innovation Center Basel, F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. as a Keynote Speaker at 3D Cell Culture 2027: Functional Precision Medicine – Models and Molecules.

Die 8th IWA International Conference on Advanced Oxidation Processes for Water and Wastewater Treatment and Recycling findet vom 6. bis 8. April 2027 in Frankfurt am Main statt. Sie dient dem Austausch zu neuesten Fortschritten in der Entwicklung und Anwendung von Advanced Oxidation Processes, (AOPs) in allen Bereichen der Wasserbehandlung, von Trinkwassergewinnung, über Prozesswasserbereitstellung bis hin zu Abwasserbehandlung und Wasserwiederverwendung.
