At the Schwabe Group site in Karlsruhe, the answer was anything but ordinary: through the roof.

As part of the major Operations 2030 transformation, a new tablet coating system weighing around seven tonnes had to be carefully integrated into the pharmaceutical production environment. It is a striking reminder of what industrial architecture really involves. Buildings do not simply contain technology. They must be designed around movement, weight, infrastructure, access and the production processes themselves.

The dramatic part may be the crane lifting the machine. The fascinating part is all the planning that makes it possible.

Can you design a building around a biscuit?

At the Griesson – de Beukelaer production facility, Kohlbecker Gesamtplan translated food production into architecture, coordinating everything from machinery and hygiene to temperature, logistics and production flows across approximately 36,500 m².

20 Jahre Kohlbecker – Danke, Alex Pöge!

Am 07.08.2006 begann Alex Pöge seine Laufbahn bei der Kohlbecker Gesamtplan GmbH als Bauzeichner. Seit nunmehr 20 Jahren ist er ein fester Bestandteil unseres Teams in der Planung am Standort Gaggenau.

Mit seinem außergewöhnlichen Engagement, seiner Fachkompetenz und seinem unermüdlichen Einsatz trägt Alex maßgeblich zum Erfolg unserer Projekte bei. Besonders hervorzuheben ist seine Arbeit in einem der anspruchsvollsten Projekte unseres Unternehmens, das er mit großer Souveränität und Übersicht koordiniert.

Wer mit Alex zusammenarbeitet, schätzt vor allem seine ruhige, besonnene und ausgeglichene Art, mit der er auch in herausfordernden Situationen stets den Überblick behält und ein verlässlicher Ansprechpartner für Kolleginnen, Kollegen und Kunden ist.

At Audi’s N60.3 body shop in Ingolstadt, planned by Kohlbecker Gesamtplan, around 1,100 robots operate across three production levels within 163,000 m² of gross floor area. It is a striking example of how industrial architecture brings together technology, logistics, people, and precision while remaining flexible enough for the manufacturing systems of tomorrow.
