LEGO assembly without force sensors? 🧱🤖

A new open-source project from CMU × Waseda University shows how PiPER can perform force-aware teleoperation without hardware modification.

By estimating external interaction forces through software, the system enables bilateral force feedback on a lightweight and cost-effective 6-axis robot arm — opening new possibilities for embodied AI research, teleoperation, and contact-rich manipulation.
