What a competition! 🏆

Brilliant ideas, strong prototypes, and truly insane teamwork — making it anything but easy to decide on the winning teams.

🌟 Last Friday, three teams stood out in different ways:

🎤 Team Vertis convinced the audience with their solution, showing how their approach could reshape the field of VR therapy — and took home the audience’s vote.

⚙️ Team Pacello impressed with outstanding technical ex*****on, presenting a packet station that ensures orders are received reliably — earning them the Make Award.

🚀 And finally, the Start Award went to Team Miru, tackling a real-world problem with impact: their technology identifies the perfect conditions for mold, enabling landlords and tenants to act early — before it even develops.

👏 Huge congratulations to all winning teams — and to everyone who was part of this incredible journey!

🌟 Day 10 | Think.Make.Start. Batch #22 — Demo Day 🌟
Last Friday, it was finally showtime.

⚙️ The morning started with focus and intensity:
9:00 — setting up booths, perfecting pitches, going through everything one last time, and checking again (and again) that the prototypes work. You could truly feel the tension and excitement in the air.

🎤 Because in the end, it all comes down to those 3 minutes on stage —
the moment to show what each team is capable of and how powerful it is when brilliant ideas meet strong teamwork.

🚪 13:00 — the first guests arrived, and the room slowly filled up.
⏰ 14:00 — Demo Day officially started.
🔥 One by one, teams stepped on stage to pitch their ideas, showcasing what they built in just two intense weeks.
🏆 17:00 — after a tough decision for the jury, the results were finally in. Choosing the winners was anything but easy.

👉 Stay tuned — we’ll share more about the winning teams in our next post!

⚙️ By the end of today, all deliverables for grading were submitted, marking a huge milestone for the teams. Now, there’s just one thing left: the final pitch.

🎤 With that in mind, the focus shifted towards refining presentations and calming the nerves. Our coach , Yiyun, and student assistant, Hanna, supported the teams throughout the day, helping them stay focused and avoid becoming overwhelmed in this final phase.

🤝 At the same time, they made sure everything comes together technically — supporting the teams to have fully working prototypes ready for Demo Day.

🔥 It was an intense day, full of last adjustments and final checks — but you can clearly feel it: the excitement is building.

😄 The teams are ready and looking forward to presenting their ideas in front of the audience and judges tomorrow.

🌟 Day 8 | Think.Make.Start. Batch #22 🌟

Demo Day is getting closer — and you can really feel it.

⚙️ Today, teams spent the entire day working intensely on their prototypes, refining, testing, and pushing things forward. Many stayed late into the evening, fully focused on bringing their ideas to life — and you can already see the results taking shape.

☕ Behind the scenes, our coach Lucien is staying fueled with coffee to keep guiding the teams every step of the way. Our student assistants Jean Loui and Jana are supporting wherever needed — from helping hands to keeping everything running smoothly in the background.

🎯 To wrap up the day and clear everyone’s minds, we had an advanced bingo session — a fun way to learn more about each other, share some insider moments, and strengthen the connections across teams.

😄 Curious? Join our Demo Day on Friday, 27th March!

🌟 Day 7 | Think.Make.Start. Batch #22 🌟

The countdown is on — and you can definitely feel the pressure rising as Demo Day gets closer.

⚙️ Teams are working hard to finalize their prototypes, pushing forward, fixing details, and making sure everything comes together in time.

😄 But even with the intensity, one thing stands out:
they’re still smiling — and you can see it in the pictures.

🎤 Alongside building, today was also about pitch coaching: Students learned not only how to strengthen their technical solutions, but also how to present them convincingly — being clear, specific, and confident when communicating their ideas.

🎯 Because at TMS, it’s not just about what you build —
it’s also about how you tell the story behind it.

🔥 The final sprint is on — and the energy is high.

🌟 Day 6 | Think.Make.Start. Batch #22 🌟

Today was all about taking the next step with our prototypes — and getting the right input to level them up.

⚙️ During our tech coachings, teams had the opportunity to receive valuable feedback on their technical approaches and implementations. With guidance from our coaches, ideas became more refined and prototypes more robust.

🤝 A big support throughout the day came from our great student assistants Delia, Benjamin, and Freya, who were there to help troubleshoot, give advice, and keep things moving forward.

🎯 Step by step, the technology behind the ideas is becoming more solid — and you can really see the progress.

⚡ And of course, it wouldn’t be TMS without some team spirit: We wrapped up the day with a few group activities, bringing everyone together once again and strengthening the collaboration across teams.

+ the launch of our meme challenge added a fun twist => Because at TMS, it’s not just about building and learning… It’s also about having fun along the way.

🚨 Attention, Attention: Serious project mode activated! 🚨

Over the weekend, our hardworking students took the opportunity to push their prototypes forward, and things are getting intense!

⚙️ Everywhere you look: wires, chips, electronics, Arduino kits — pure maker energy filling the space. It’s messy, chaotic, and exactly what building looks like.

🏗️ And then there’s one team taking it to the next level:
They actually built their own little office to stay fully focused and productive. From the outside, it might look… let’s say interesting — but inside?
✨ A whole different story: A strong prototype in progress, a shiny disco ball, a green plant, and even refreshing drinks to keep the energy up.

🔥 That’s the spirit! Let’s keep going and create a productive work environment where everyone feels comfortable!

⚙️ After an intense and focused week, it was time to switch gears:
Because yes — it’s “business before pleasure”… but our hardworking students definitely earned a moment to relax.

🍕 In the afternoon, everyone came together for a well-deserved get-together — connecting, recharging, and enjoying some great pizza.

🔥 And a special highlight: Our coach Maximilian and project manager Juliana didn’t just support behind the scenes, no, they stepped into action and prepared the pizzas themselves, together with our amazing student assistant crew.

🎯 Day 5 showed: strong ideas, great teamwork, and a well-earned break — now we’re ready for the final sprint.

🌟 Day 3 + 4 | Think.Make.Start. Batch #22 🌟

The past two days were all about diving deeper into the problem space — focusing on problem decomposition and requirements elicitation.

🔍 Teams worked hard to break down complex challenges, identify key components, and truly understand what is needed to build meaningful solutions. Step by step, ideas became clearer and more structured.

🎯 At the same time, we kicked off our brand coaching, helping teams start shaping their unique identities and connecting their solutions to a strong vision.

💡 With the support of our amazing coaches Enrico and Jimena, students received valuable guidance on navigating the problem space and sharpening their focus.

⚙️ It’s been an intense couple of days — full of deep thinking, discussions, and progress.

⚡ But of course, TMS wouldn’t be TMS without some energy boosts:
On today’s agenda — our Rock, Paper, Scissors competition! A fun way to recharge, connect, and bring the energy back up.

🎯 Day 3 & 4 showed that great solutions come from truly understanding and structuring the problem first — and we’re well on our way.

📸 Check out some impressions from the past days!

🌟 Day 2 | Think.Make.Start. Batch #22 🌟

Today was all about understanding problems — and realizing that it’s not as easy as it might seem at first.

🔍 Teams took a deep dive into real challenges faced by people and industries, exploring different perspectives and identifying meaningful problem spaces to work on.

💡During brainstorming sessions, initial ideas started to take shape, while our ideation coaching provided valuable, constructive feedback to help guide the teams toward strong and impactful directions.

⚙️It was an intense and challenging day of group work — full of discussions, iterations, and new insights.

⚡And of course, we recharged our energy as well:

Students took on a fun challenge — forming a line based on the length of their socks. Sounds simple? They nailed it in under 3 minutes — and impressively accurate too!

🎯 Day 2 showed that great solutions start with truly understanding the problem — a crucial step in the TMS journey.
